Hi everyone :-)so I just signed up for this site because my baby started acting strange today and I'm getting no help from anywhere else. I'm sure I'm just overreacting, but I love her so much I can't help but worry about everything lol anywho, today Cali has been acting kinda strange. Nothing extreme, but she seems very on edge, constantly looking over her shoulder and jumping at every little noise. She keeps running to me and it seems like she wants me to protect her, but I have no idea from what! We do have other cats, but this is very out of character for her. I just can't figure out what would make her so anxious. It's almost like she's having a long panic attack (a mild one, but still) pacing, very jumpy, and even running into the room and darting under the covers for a minute or two randomly. I just wish I could help her relax, and figure out what's bothering her so much. Any ideas of what's bothering my baby? Or am I just being an overprotective momma?

It sounds like she had a fright.  It could have been anything really; from a noise outside or something inside.  I would just love on her and reassure her she is ok.  If she keeps it up; check with your vet to be sure nothing is going on.

I hope by now she is back to her normal self!

She is doing much better now. She laid with me under the covers for most of the night, then this morning she seems back to her normal self :-) something must have spooked her pretty good because she was acting that way all day and all night, but I'm glad she's better. I'll still keep an eye on her though (not that I have much choice, she's almost always by my side lol) but I'm pretty sure she's ok now. I think I was just overreacting like I thought lol thanks for replying :-)
