So I have a 1 year old male cat. Ever since the day I first brought him home he has used his litter box. The location of the litter box and type of litter has not changed. It is cleaned daily and scrubbed monthly. There are new no animals or children and no new furniture. One day out of the blue he urinated on my ivory sofa sleeper. I was ready to blame it on my pug but the next day when she was gated from the room there was urine on the couch. I took him to the vet and $270 later there is nothing wrong with him. They did blood tests and urinalysis. The vets recommendation was to purchase a Feliway pheromone plug in and put it by the couch and to buy another litter box and place it next to the couch. So another $100 later and the little stinker is still peeing on the couch. He is also using both litter boxes. I have steam cleaned the couch about 6 times. I tried putting a plastic table clothe and he just went to the bathroom on that too. What can I do? My couch is nearly ruined and I'm worried to purchase another one bc I'm afraid he will do it on there as well. This is my first time owning a cat and I'm clueless. I feel like I have exhausted all of my options!
