Goodday to all!

I hope everyone is having a pleasant Tuesday.

What events happened on your Birthday?

For myself, on May 23, some include: The marriage of Catherine of Aragorn and Henry VIII is declared null and void. Joan of Arc is captured by the Burgundians. Captain Kidd is hanged in London. Bonnie and Clyde are shot and killed. Heinrich Himmler commits suicide via cyanide pill while under allied custody. President of Mexico declares War on the United States. In the beginning years of World War 1, Italy declares war on Austria-Hungary and joins the allies. Girolamo Savonarola is burned at the stake in Florence.

(Phew, such happy circumstances...)

I also share a birthday with Drew Carey, Philip 1 of France, Hans Frank, Jewel, Margaret Fuller, Franz Mesmer, Kelly Monaco,  amongst many others.

It is also World Turtle Day. Yay!

So how about you? Would love to know! All you have to do is type in your birthday in the search section and go: http://www.wikipedia.org/

I'm supposed to be vacuuming; I just got carried away reading on Wikipedia.

Handel completed his oratorio Messiah, Domitian became the emperor of the Roman Empire, the British Empire adopted the Georgian Calender, skipping eleven days (the previous day was September 2); The poem Defence of Fort McHenry was written by Francis Scott Key (the poem is the lyrics of The Star Spangled Banner).

Apparently I share a birthday with Amy Winehouse and a lot of other people whose names did not stand out when I skimmed over them.
(And truthfully I wouldn't know an Amy Winehouse song if I heard one either...)

Patrick Swayze and Grace Kelly passed on my birthday;.  Also President McKinley.

I only got to one so far.
Voting for women was ratified 18 August 1920. For you lot.
More to come. Eventually.
