All of a sudden my very pregnant stray cat " Oscar " is very affectionate. As she was allowing me to rub her swollen belly I noticed that there is something pink protruding from her vagina. Is this the beginning of labor????

Affectionate and wants to get belly rubbing is common shortly before the deliver (and yes, the belly rubbing is positive for the coming labor and brthing).
But the something pink protruding from vagina doesnt sounds familiar... Sorry, Im stuck. There are several possibilites, and I dont want to guess.
Look out, write down where you can get hold of your vet....
