Kaylee decided to start an oral fixaction on my laptop power cord and chewed right through it one night. While I am waiting for a new one, what are some things to do (I used both no chew bandages and spay, and pepper spray and she still ate them).

Hi,

Have you tried bitter apple?  You can also buy cord protectors from places like radio shack and online.

Paper towel cardboard centers work excellent, just run the cords through, more than one if needed.

They also make great cord organizers :)

I bought double-sided tape and wrapped them around the wires (in spaced out sections). I also stuck them on door edges or whatever else he liked to gnaw on. It helps! After a while, he should stop doing it (even if the tape isn't sticky anymore).

Go to a home electronics store (Best Buy) or home improvement store and look for product used to wrap power cords. Spiral wrap tubing is what you want.

Just a helpful tip for everyone in this thread; Check the states of your cords regularly. Cats are small, they're clever, and they're persistent. They may cause damage to the cord even without actually severing it. A damaged cord can cause fire. Replace or repair any damaged cords immediately.

Bitter apple has really helped my friend get her little guy to leave her computer cords alone!
