She had also only just started her heat cycles and had two around that time

They sometimes do behave like in heat, also when already preg.  Hey, sometimes they even are in heat for real.

So its nothing unusual.

Also, it may happen she had some sort of false pregnany, or had a early spontan abort on her own.

but that is not so common compared with  extra heat when pregnant..

So keep her away from this tom.

You have perhaps possibility to help this tom and spay him?   This would be a nice gift to him, and surely to the neigborhood too...

Good luck!

Typo  corrected.

She hasn't been going out she's back to wanting to stay in her nippels are really noticeable now an she's been really mardy an sleeping all the time plus eating like a horse I have found where the tom lives which is right around the corner iv been told he could possibly be waiting to get at the kittens so he can try get back at her quicker. Whatever the reason he won't be getting near her again as soon as she can she's goin to be spayed

Waters come usually shortly before the kittens.  But sometimes it can take time, even days.   As long she isnt in active labor its not too dramatic, you can see and wait..

It is safest to phone your vet for advice. They know what follow up questions to give.

Good luck!

Hi thank you I have contacted a vet which said she's fine as she is not contracting but didn't really give much advice on how long before she should I have read loads of things that say 2 hours to 24 . But I have just read one of the links you gave an it says first time mums in first stage can take up to 36 hours so thats my mind at rest for now keep you posted
