Nothing yet, but I think she may be in the early stages of labor.

I think Sassy is just going through pre labor symptoms. She seems that be very uncomfortable, she can't stay laying in one spot for too long, so she is constantly moving. She won't let me out of her site. The kittens have been moving like crazy today. I think it will be in the next 24-48 hours. But who really knows... we will see.

Sassy is in labor. She's been having some contractions. Her water just broke. How long after the water breaks should she have the first kitten?

Sorry, here are no fire safe rules...Mostly it comes fairly soon, but for others it may  take more time.

What we dont want is active labor for many hours.      After the first kitten is born, next should come much easier.

If you think it takes too long, phone your vet, its the safest.

How is it going?   We want reports,  also the postive ones,  so we dont worry in wain.

Good luck!

She is still having contractions but they are still pretty mild. She has not been pushing. She only appears to be uncomfortable but not in pain.

Sassy is doing great. She had 4 kittens in 2 hours. I am not sure if she is finished so I will be watching her.

I hope everything goes well for Flo. I did take Sassy and the kittens in to see the vet. Sassy started breathing fast a couple hours after she had the 5th kitten and 2 hours later she was still breathing fast (no pushing). After xrays and exam they said she was just really excited and needed some time to calm down. She is back home and snuggled in with her babies and thankfully she has calmed down. Vet said they are all healthy and in great condition.

Can you guess who is adopted?
My brother in law found 2 abandoned kittens in their shed today, unfortunately one was already dead. They brought it to me to see if my Sassy would adopt her and she did. What's really funny is that the adopted baby is the only one who looks like momma.
