I love helping cats in bad situations. But yyesterday i helped 2 baby ssquirrels they were freezing when ttouched and Ii wanted around for a while the mom didn'tcome back so Ii took the in for the night with a heating pad they fell asleep right away. This morning i took them to a women who has much more eexperenence caring for wildlife. Has anyone rescue animals other than cats?

How sweet - good on you! I was at the park once and had seen a girl kick what she thought was a rock, and she realized it was a baby sparrow. She scooped it up and took it with her. By the time she came back 20 minutes later with the bird in a little tank, I was sitting next to two other baby birds in the grass that were being stalked by a neighbourhood indoor/outdoor cat. I own birds, so I went home and got a syringe and some mulch (pureed fruits, vegetables, seeds, beans, and eggs with probiotics) I make for them to try and feed the babies since no nest or adult sparrows were in the nearby trees. We put all three babies in the tank, I gave them the syringe and food and they all went to a wildlife rehab centre the next morning.

One of my neighbours was mowing their lawn once and found a baby robin, way too young to be fledging or weaned. I offered kept watch over it and had it in a shallow cardboard box just to make sure it was being fed, and consequently pooping. Unfortunately this story ends ambiguously because although I heard adult robin alert calls signalling its parents were nearby, I went inside to let the parents feed it and lost sight so I'm totally unsure of how it wound up.

One of my birds I would consider a rescue as well, but she's my pet now and not so much a wild animal. My uncle wanted to release her in their back yard (we live in Canada, land of cold, and lovebirds are an African species - not to mention she's flightless), but in the meantime was keeping her in the laundry room in a big, cruddy cage with no food, old grimey water, no toys, no sunlight, and no attention. Since I had 5 lovebirds at the time, I asked my younger cousin to take her and put her in a foster kind of situation where I would show up at their place with a bunch of new stuff, like cages and food and toys. That went on for a couple years until I was able to steal her for good. :)

I rescued two guinea pigs years ago.  One was from a pet store and the other was from a foster woman.  Their names were Pudgie and Jackie, both female.  Jackie is the black one and always difficult to get a good pic of her as it is with dark pets.  They lived to be 5 years old, Jackie died first and about a year later Pudgie, she died in my arms.  Jackie died at the vets.  I really loved those lil piggies.

No one was stopping for it but w we did I got out picked it up and released it at a nice lake not near any roads. I felt so bad for him or her
