I remember reading about it for bladder issues and now I can't find it.  My kitty Mini Dee has interstitial cystitis and she keeps getting infections, urine cultures have been done but she is not responding normally.  She doesn't have crystals but she has 'sludge' in her bladder.   How do I use these products?  We have been treating her since December for bladder issues and quite frankly my hubby is about to kill her for peeing on my couch.

I remember @LDG talking about sludge in the bladder, maybe she'll have some advice as well?

Here is how I use the D-mannose: http://www.vetinfo.com/d-mannose-for-cats.html

This is how I use the corn silk tea: (Buy organic corn silk) http://www.holisticat.com/en/acute-conditions/36-feline-lower-urinary-tract-disease.html

I also gave Spooky fluids for 10 days. At the time, it was 100ml a day. After that it was 50 - 100ml every few days, to keep her REALLY well flushed.

But to dissolve the sludge, which we didn't KNOW but hoped was struvite - and because it dissolved and flushed out, it must have been, we added 500mg of Solgar L-methionine to her food at each meal (3x a day) for a couple of months, until the ultrasound showed there was no more sludge in there.

Now I use both of the above to prevent problems. I use the D-mannose once a month, give her fluids weekly, and the corn silk tea I give a tablespoon every 2 - 3 days. I don't use the methionine. I use Vetri-Science Composure treats to reduce her stress levels to prevent her pH from rising and creating struvites.

Knock wood, so far so good.

Does it have to be the tea or can it be the Corn Silk Capsules?  Nevermind, found my answer :)
