So my friend got 2 kittens and had to go away for a few days so I kitty sat at my place. I kept them separate to my 4 as mine have corona (well I assume they still do although none have symptoms as they are all on flagil and 1 on flagil and tylan) she had mentioned that 1 kit had some blood in poo on and off so just asked me to keep an eye on the poo.
Im pretty sure I know which one had the sloppy poo with blood and she seemed a little lethargic during her short stay. I was worried so when I dropped kits home I suggested taking that little one for a vet check.
She was eating and drinking fine and had been wormed the week before (kits are 10 weeks) but they both had fat little tums.:confused:
I scooped up some runny, bloody poo and gave it to my friend to take for an in house test too.
My friend is at the vets now.. I am so worried for her and these little babies..has anyone had this??:confused:

At this point, your friend has done the right thing by taking the kitty to the vet, and the best thing you can do is just be calm and wait for what the vet says
 I know it's hard to wait but you should have news soon!

Please keep us updated about the kitty!

Vet sent kit home but want to see the 2 at a later date. Im confused as to why 1 is sick and not the other.y friend was saying the sick girl was breathing fast and heavy. After seeing some pretty ignorant vets in my time, I go with my gut now. Better safe than sorry.
Thanks for your reply Tulosai! I will post any updates/poo test results as soon as I know :)

I have some litter tray pics showing the amount of blood.. am I aloud to upload them to get opinions?? Poop does not bother me..

kits are still having a rough time and vets are just guessing at this time..wondering if I upload the poop if someone can tell me it looks similar to something they have seen so my friend can suggest testing for something specific

It's worth a try!  Most people just say "warning, graphic" and such as that.

@Cass

It isn't against the rules to post a picture with poop and blood here in the cat health forum.  I wouldn't try it in the "caption this photo"  thread though :-)

As far as the blood goes, bloody stool is very common with certain parasites etc, and while its a medical issue that needs attention, the blood itself shouldn't scare you.  The cat isn't bleeding in a dangerous way....
