I started having trouble with titan for some reason he is peeing and pooping around the house and sometimes he will use his litter box. I am taking him to the vet tomorrow to rule out any health issues (he does have diarrhea with little blood). I use the paper litter because I cannot use clumping litter with him because he is messy and it will get stuck to his coat. So I was wondering which litter do u use?

hello, we have had persians for over 20 years and have come to know they are extremely fussy animals, and will refuse to use a litter tray which they feel isnt clean enough for them!! we live in the uk and use Bob Martins premium cat litter crystals, it doesn't clump, they are crystals which absorb any moisture, and change colour so you can clearly see where they have gone. it stays smelling fresh a lot longer than any other cat litters we have tried, doesnt seem to get caught in their fur either. im not sure what you have available to you in the USA but you should be able to find something similar if you ask at the pet shop. best of luck with the vets!! <3

We had a himmie who had the exact same issue. In our case the cat had IBS. Change of food cleared up the bloody stool and he went back to using the box/bathtub. We also had the cat clipped in the back "sanitary cut" to help cut back on litter attaching itself to his coat. If you don't want to go down that route then you could try the clear crystal type litter. It's pricey if I remember correctly.
