I am in the process of starting a cattery and need to know of safe products to clean my tub, commodes, sinks, etc. I know you have to be extremely careful because of them walking on these areas then licking their paws etc. Is comet safe?? Also, what do you mop your kitchens, bathrooms, etc. with? Also, do any of you use the ozone machines to keep down bacteria, URI's, odor, etc? What is your opinion and experiences with these. I have heard conflicting things about them. Thanks for your help.

Well, first rule of thumb...you can use anything you like to clean with as long as it is not harmful to humans. If you mop the floor, make sure there isn't any residue left. Same thing goes for catteries as with any household with pets. I personally do not use the ozone machines. I find most breeders use it stricktly for odor purposes, of course if you are clean and you use a good odor enimiator on messes, floors, bedding and such you shouldnt have a problem. I like the NOK OUT personally for any odors. In keeping germs down it is best to use the old fashion method of CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN as well as isolate any newcomers and if you come into contact with any other cats change and wash up before coming into contact with any of your cats.
