He probably made friends with it and when not sleeping today went off in search of more chums for it to play with...  spiders, mice, flies.  My home will be full of undesireable critters if Mouse doesn't learn that he's meant to kill or chase them away not just play.  The bug and rodent residence with Mouse welcoming them as they come in.  Eeeew.

I'm envious now, I haven't had a good game of tag / hide and seek / hunt the human for a couple of weeks now.

Just thought, best if I check that fleecy den before I get in to my bed tonight in case Mouse took any of his new found friends in there when I wasn't around to see what he was up to.....
Yes,  I think its a really good idea to check the "I want to sleep there....fleecy den".....just in case Mouse is welcoming all his animal kingdom friends.  It's actually a good thing....you should have sunny skies ahead, it that spider made it.....lol

If that spider made it and gets joined by many others I'd better have blue skies and warm sunshine coz I'll be ouside and not in here! LoL

So any more tag games since you got home, or has Spotty been making cozy dens and snoozing too?

Weird that you ask, because he is snoozing on a woolen blanket, (its his favourite), in another room, with the window open.  It was 20*celsius, here, today.  Some sunny skies early in day, then grey, overcast, but no rain yet.

So I wonder where @MissSweetKitty   is tonight.  She posted over the weekend, that she was work, work and more work.

Maybe recouping then, in a warm fleecy den?   That would be the thing to do.

I was too tired to play tag.....but did do some exercise on a stationary bike.....I am impressing even myself, lately.   Tomorrow, I 'll stay in bed....sadly no warm fleece....but have to make sure no spiders either.

A few days ago, one was moving on the ceiling.   Was I supposed to catch it?  I just watched him, too, like your Mouse did.

Stealing money would be a good trick to teach Spotty.  After seeing my visa bill today,  and going...ahhh.
...destroying the bill with his cat claws (shredding)...seems almost pleasant.

I am not sure about @MissSweetKitty 's Tink and Coco.....they do really look well behaved in the photos.
We will have to wait and see.  Just because Tink likes to sleep in the recycling box.....does not mean he's wild....could just say he is into the environment and makes sure MissSweetKitty, does not forget to empty the box.

This sounds like your Mouse, telling you to take care of your own trash....very good to have a fur friend tell you....since you cannot possibly criticize him....lol.

Tell me if it is raining today??  April 21st.

Well, Tink is not the best behaved cat in the world. She likes to knock stuff to the floor, play with hair elastics, try to climb in the dryer (not going to happen, Tink.
) and much more. Coco, on the other hand, is a pretty good cat, compared to Tink. She will sometimes get into trouble, but not that often.

BTW, Tink is a female cat.

Aw, poor Spotty, not allowed friends round or to play destructive games!  Does he not get to chew up bills, or steel money off house guests or anything?  He sounds very well behaved your cat.  If Tink and Coco don't get up to no good I'm going to have to start worrying about Mouse's antics.  Up till now I thought most cats got up to mischief on a daily basis.

I'm not sure what Mouse's adventures invovled today as I was out in the afternoon, but this morning he was pretty much bouncing off the walls until he caught sight of a tiny little spider on the sheepskin rug under his cat tree and decided he should observe and stalk it for a while.  He did not have the look of a cat that was going to sleep peacefully for 4 hours...
Oh, Tink is a troublemaker, so don't worry about Mouse.

I was thinking maybe sleeping in the recycling might indicate paper shredding tendencies?

Today Mouse spent much of his day in my bed if the evidence is anything to go by:  deep, round, Mouse sized indent in my duvet with added padding of two fleece blankets to build up the sides, one to the top of the bed and one to the bottom!  If he'd had another fleece there he could have made himself a completely enclosed fleecy den.
He's taken possession of  my new house guests too - rubbing himself on their legs when in the kitchen (this may be because they've fed him the odd fish snack or two with my consent) and rolling around on his back on the floor showing off to them both.   He got to explore the room they are sleeping in yesterday as it was tidy enough to be safe for him.  He was very happy as they had moved his scratching post to a prime location where he can show off easily  - it has been hidden behind the sofa bed in recent months.

No rain here today.
Misty and cold this morning then blue skies for the rest of the day / evening.  My brother called me earlier on and they had a nasty thunder storm where he is.
Sounds like a good day for him, resting in a nice, cozy nest of fleece
, exploring an interesting, new room and showing off on the scratching post.

I have been working, working, working and sadly, did not even let myself on here, because if I did, I would be on here for a long  time...lol...

Of course, Tink would be a female cat.....You posted that in the second post above.  You posted that in your Cat Pages for Tink......and still I think she is a he...(like the word tank)....lol

I am so sorry, I have no attention for detail,  that is obvious.

But we did want to know why you called her Stinky, and Stink.....must be a story there....lol.

(and yeah, straight to bed sounds good after a long day....I should be doing that soon)

Hee hee, so we are more likely to hear about Tink in The Diary then are we?
Do you ever look at her face and think    '
you look like you're up to no good today'?  I just looked at Mouse as he walked in to the room I'm in and his face was hilarious - I swear you can see the little brain cogs going round when he's plotting fun!  Then he sauntered over to his cat tree, went for a big leap up, missed high tower and just caught the lower platform so he may need to wake up a bit more before he tried anything too daring.
As for showing off on the little scratching post - he sure did, he went for the full hug and climb to the top  (it's about 1 meter high so it gives him a good stretch).

All work and no TCS is such a bind but I know what you mean.  I can loose whole days here, I swear time warps when  I come on TCS.

Oh, that's alright, cat nap.

Well, I call Tink Stink because sometimes she will walk into the room and fart right next to me. Thanks a lot, Tink!
Also, sometimes when she is on the counter and I set her on the ground, she farts right in my face. Right in my very own face
Oh Tink.

The Tink Diaries  Coming soon to a store near you! Yep, you will probably hear more about Tink sometime soon. Right now, she isn't doing much. But tomorrow, on the other hand, she might be traveling to the other side of the world. Who knows?
Although, she is  an indoor cat, so that isn't very likely, or is it? You never know with her.

LOL....well then @MissSweetKitty   you will have to read the "Truth Behind Cat's Thread" then.  It will explain how Tink can time travel, and other interesting things.

Here:....http://www.thecatsite.com/t/274657/shocking-truths-behind-cat-behaviors

And granted, Tink is not giving off the gas....on purpose, she is just expressing that she loves you.....lol.  (maybe the food does not always agree with her.....lol)

LOL.....Seeing you laugh makes me laugh again.  But I have to go back tonight and re-read the thread again, and see which 6, 7 and 15 were....and also see if my favourites changed.

So baking lessons and time travel are the popular choices then?  Time travel seems to be pretty universal.
Mouse excells at that, epsecially when I want to clip his claws or there's any chance of eye drops being administered.   Mostly it's because he wants to have fun and seems to be in 2 places all at once though.  He was doing that a lot this afternoon: I'd sense this cold wind and suddenly he'd appear at the other end of the apartment, then the same thing again and he'd be the other end.  Over and over again.  I was quite exhaused with how he'd suddenly appear in the bedrooms, then be back in the sitting room, then be in the kitchen.  Thankfully he is settled now and spent the last half hour snuggled up on a sheepskin rug.  I am thinking his time travel must be quite tiring for him.

my snick taught herself how to open cabinet doors, even ones that have magnetic closures. this took her one week of trying to open the bathroom under sink cabinet doors. that was several years ago. these days i have placed canisters in front of every low level cabinet door in our house. this is because when snick opens the cabinet doors she'll take a few attempts to get them to stay open, and they bang closed. she grabs the lower corner of the cabinet doors with her paw curled up and pulls the door open.

That is such a cool thing for a cat to do.  (well, not for you , but for the cat it is....lol)  Do you think that Snick, maybe was a plumber or carpenter in another life?

I am guessing you cannot put any of her food into those cabinets, either, since she would just help herself.

Still, she sounds very intelligent.

My cat Spotty, can not open cabinets, but instead just sits on the outside of closed doors and meows, then  waits until we quickly go and open them.   He knows we'll come running fast, since he trained us.....lol.

i tell snick that sometimes she's too smart for her own good. she's gotten into one particular lower kitchen cabinet a couple times when i've been either taking out or putting back in a pot or pan, then i've closed the cabinet door without noticing she's in there. it doesn't take me but a few minutes to wonder where my snick is, so she isn't closed in the cabinet for long at all. and when i open the cabinet door, snick is just calmly sitting there looking at me.

i think maybe snick was a teacher or professor in another life.

i store snick's dry cat food in several 2 gallon rubbermade containers with lids. they're stored in a spare room.

thank you! snick is very smart.

my snick has me trained well too!

Hi @mickNsnicks2mom    You are going to have to tell us more then....lol.

So, you think she was a teacher or professor?   Have you caught her sleeping on a bunch of papers,   like she is going to grade them or something?  Or do you go into a room, and find her just sitting "meowing out loud", for no particular reason, as though she is holding a lecture in a study hall?....

With me, Spotty does meow in some rooms, but he is 14yrs old, so we just figure he may be losing his hearing, or else just wants some extra attention.  He does follow us around and "chats" with us, especially if my sister and I are in the middle of an important conversation.  All other conversations, he will ignore.

Spotty likes to groom himself and he has this funny walk sometimes, when he goes downstairs, so we called him "Mikhail Baryshnikov" for fun.  The way he walks, looks like a ballet dancer, and since he loves to look good, we figure either 'dancing with the stars" or ballet.  lol.

That sounds like a riot...@MServant .   I can picture Mouse, running past at the speed of light, and causing that cold wind.  I suppose there is no use to follow him, since he would just disappear again, so you might as well just sit and observe these cold spots....lol.

However, I hope you do not accidentally get up and then have a very sudden meeting in the hallway or something.  Better to stay out of Mouse's way, I would think.

Yes our cats do time travel, since Spotty goes missing at times, too.  Usually, I will find him sleeping in some new spot.  But more likely he went back to his home planet, slept, and returned.

He does sometimes run in to things, or people, not helped by poor stopping skillls.  He has a tendency to end speed runs with skids and head-rolls and if they are up on high surfaces he has been seen falling off (not that he'd admit to that).  Oooh, I never thought about time travel when I come in and Mouse is in exactly the same place and position as I left him hours before but you're right, he could well be spending his days up to no good in some other dimension!  I must start paying more attention when he's curled up in a neat little circle.  Today I think he was supervising builders outside the apartment as there's no Mouse sized dent on any of the comfy furniture.

It must be tiring for both of you. But I would think that it would be quite fun to time travel, so he's probably thinking "I better do this as much as I can because I might run out of time and I won't be able to time travel anymore!"

Yesterday, I didn't know where Tink was and then she suddenly appeared right in front of me! And it was right when I gave up looking for her!

Sounds suspiciously like time travel to me.
Unless she had a guilty look  on her face and paws covered in forbidden cupboard content suggesting she'd been doing a bit of breaking and entering like Snick?
