pregnant Tortie

Hi i have a ppregnant cat wwho is about 59 days. We are getting her spayed after this litter. This was a accident litter lol. She is a Tortie and she mated with a tuxedo colored cat. Does anyone have an idea what the coloring of the kittens could be?

You might want to look under the 'expert forums', there is a section there for feline genetics, I'll bet THEY could help you. I can't help you, but want you to know I hope everything goes well, and I KNOW they'll all be beautiful no matter WHAT color they are! Good luck!

Right for possible kitten colours I will try and break it down for you.

Mother cat is a tortie which is black and red and father cat is a tuxedo cat which is black and white. So boy kittens always take their coat colour genes from their mother only. But girl kittens take one gene colour from each parent.

So possible boy kittens coat colours will be -

Red with or without white
Black with or without white
Blue with or without white ( But ONlY if both parents carry the blue gene )
Cream with or without white ( only if both parents carry the dilute gene )


Possible girl kitten colours will be -

Black with or without white
Tortie ( black and red ) with or without white
Blue with or without wite ( But ONLY if both parents carry the blue gene )
Blue tortie/dilute tortie ( blue and cream ) Only if both parents carry the dilute gene

Oh she is a cutie I love the red stripe on top of her head.

Hi just wanted to let everyone know my molly is due in 1 to 4 days. The vet suggested we come in for a pre birth exam and today she said only 1 to 4 days left! She did an X ray on her and 2 clearly visible kittens were seen. She said there could be a third but definitely count on two I'm very nervous and excited.

Keep us updated!  for a healthy and easy delivery.

Definitely will it's so hard to tell that she is even pregnant i knew she was going to have a small littler i even thought maybe just one I'll post pictures of her later in the evening.

Hi I'm expecting my cat to give birth either today or tomorrow can someone explain kittens and their weight like what they should be and how much they should gain thank you

Well very sad morning molly delivered much later than expectedthe vet said she should be fine but early this morning she had 2 cream colored babies who ssadly where both born both dead. She was so upset all today walking around the house meowing like I have never heard before. I felt terrible so I called around to see if any kittens at shelters needed to nurse. There was a one day old kitten orphan at the shelter and they let us take him or her. Molly instantly fell in love with the kitten and is now feeding him or her. So far it's going well no pics yet she can't stop rubbing her face on the kitten and grooming
