I used to give my indoor and outdoor cats frontline, however all vets stopped carrying it because it was deemed ineffective in our area. I don't know what other topical flea meds are safe and effective. I know revolution was mentioned that also kills ear mites and other things like heartworm and internal parasites, so mabye used once or twice a year for all cats is good, but isn't it too strong to use monthly, especially for indoor cats, or no? What about for my outdoor cats?

I would definitely read all the information on the sheets to see how often it recommends to put it on, or call your vet. Topicals works great on outdoor cats, because usually I can't get them to take any kind of oral medication and I apply it when I'm petting them. Other then that, get on the internet or ask your local vet which ones work the best. Good luck!
