I am fostering a mom cat and her six 3 week old babies. They were found outside at an abandoned house, under a tarp.

I have never dealt with kittens under 4 months old, so having six babies to work with is completely new to me.

I noticed a kitten has what looks like split claws on one of his paws. I'm not really sure if this is normal or what. None of the other kittens have this going on.

Should I contact someone about this or let it be?

Is it a 'split' or just the sheathing coming off? The sheathing can look just like claws. Can they be clipped and see if they straighten up? (that would be hard, I can't imagine that they aren't very big!) The claws do grow out over time so even if they are truly split I would think it would resolve itself if clipped. But you might want to call a vet and find out what they say! Bless you for being a foster, the world needs more of you!

It's hard to get a good picture of it since he's restless right now, but that last claw is basically what the rest actually look like
