1/ My favourite genre is thrillers, especially medical thrillers à la early Robin Cook

2/ Nope. l only own a couple of books.

3/ Early Robin Cook, Dean Koontz, Sidney Sheldon, Mary Higgins Clark.

l do have e-books but l much prefer a physical book. There's nothing better than a well-used paperback.

1.- Wich one is your favourite Genre of Books?

Science Fiction, more so than other subjects. But I love to read cookbooks, too. And horror.

2.- Do you collect Books?,….How many do you have?   BTW, do you have at home a special place for read and you dedicate time for the read?

I used to collect books, but ran out of room. Many of my books are in tote containers in the basement. We have hundreds of books (well over a thousand, if you include my cookbooks) and most of them are packed away. I would dearly love to put a library-type addition on to our house. A whole sunny room of nothing but shelves on the walls. With one chaise....for me. My room. Just mine.

3.- Wich one is your favourite Autor?   Do you have a E-Books?

I used to love Stephen King and we have every one of his books (except for Cujo. Cujo really bothered me and I would never buy it.) But I think King got lazy with the endings to his books and I'm not as fond of him as I used to be. Rick gave me Dr. Sleep for Christmas and I have yet to even open the book let alone read it. Years ago, that would have never happened. I guess I don't really have a favorite author anymore, although there are several authors among my favorites.

Clive Cussler (pretty much all of his series and he has a few going now)

Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series

Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooter series

Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series (I keep saying I'm going to start buying the Outlander  books because I love them that much)

Kim Harrison's The Hollows series

Alan Dean Foster (love his Spellsinger series....it's a hoot. My son bought those books when he was much younger. I liked them so much that I bought them myself....and then when my son lost his books in one of his moves, he took my copies anyway!)

There are others, too, but that's all I can think of right now.

I have a Nook Tablet that I use for most of my reading now and I get ebooks from our library. Other than cookbooks, I don't know when the last time was that I actually bought a physical book, other than the King book Rick gave me.

What about you, Rigel?? Nosy minds want to know!

1. Wich one is your favourite Genre of Books?: Adventure, Fantasy, History, and sometimes Mystery.

2. Do you collect Books?,….How many do you have? BTW, do you have at home a special place for read and you dedicate time for the read?: Sure do! Lot's and lot's of novels and history books :3 and some animal , ghosts/hauntings and archeology books, and dance ones. I often read in bed before going to sleep, though also read on the couch, at the dining room table, sometimes at a workplace, and outdoors.

3.- Wich one is your favourite Autor? Do you have a E-Books: George R.R Martin. And no, not interested in E-books. I can't let go of the wonderfulness of a paper book in my hands. Plus, I stare at screens all the time. It's enough as it is, I don't feel like looking into another one. Tend to bother my eyes after awhile at any rate.

I
 books and reading.

I love a good mystery, also love romantic novels.

I don't collect books anymore, no room for them.  Now I get all books from the library.

Favorite author:  James Patterson, also like Danielle Steele and Nora Roberts.

:lol3: :lol2: I KNEW Pam would love this question !!! :woohoo: :high5:

I love books too but really don't have a genre. BUT - the book needs to grab me in the first two or three pages or forget it. I don't have an e-reader. I prefer to hold a book.

I am really into inspirational books right now and books on nutrition mostly because my sister is and we have been discussing the subject. I have many, many novels, pet informational books, animal stories, pet health (mostly cat), veterinarian reference manuals :lol2:, and lots of psychology books. I would like to begin reading Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series ( Pam ;)), I just need to squeeze out more time in the day or night for reading.

My favorite genre of book is fantasy or history.

Yes, I do collect books I've enjoyed reading or want to read, but I have no idea how many I have.  They are all over the place, and I actually cleaned house a few months ago and took several boxes up to the used book store to sell and donated the ones they didn't want.

No particular favorite author, I just read what appeals to me.  I love Geroge R R Martin's Game of Thrones, but haven't read anything else he's written so I can't really call him a favorite.

I prefer clean romantic stories.  I bounce between contemporary and regency usually.  Sometimes Amish fiction as well.  I don't like anything overly dramatic.  I love Karen Kingsbury's work; she is truly gifted!  But I can't read any one series of her work.  It's just like when so much DRAMA happens to one family; I can't take it.
Tracie Peterson is another favorite.  I enjoy some mystery stories too.  Gilbert Morris has a pretty good series with CATS as main characters!
I have no idea how many books I have.  To give you an idea; my foyer has 3 tall bookshelves; approximately 6' tall.  All 3 are jammed full.  My desk in front of me has more reference books on it.  My cookbooks have their own spot.  And then there is my kindle...  Some books are DH's.  There are some reference books from college I kept and things like that too.  Oh; and then there are the kid's books!!

I don't have a dedicated time or place to read.  I'm reading a lot less than I used to these days.  I miss staying up all night; lost in a good story!  Lately after my husband and kids are in bed I come here and then I crash!  It's frustrating to read when the kids are distracting me; so during the day  it just doesn't happen so much.  Someday they will be bigger and I'll have time for it again.

1.- Which one is your favourite Genre of Books?

I'm going through a fantasy stage at the moment, but they need to be good.  I've also been introduced to youth fiction (written for teenagers); there are some excellent new authors out there with exceptionally innovative ideas.

2.- Do you collect Books?,….How many do you have?   BTW, do you have at home a special place for read and you dedicate time for the read?

I collect books that relate to yoga, meditation and related things.  I have a huge library of them and lend them out to students.

I virtually never keep fiction.. I have a friend who 'feeds' me books, which is quite wonderful!

Now that I think about it, I rarely sit up to read! I read in or on the bed.

3.- Which one is your favourite Author?   Do you have a E-Books?

I don't really have a favourite author.  And yes, I do have E-books.

I KNEW Pam would love this question !!!

I know.....I'm just an open book!

Don't forget that you can go to these sites for information on books, authors, your favorite genre, etc. Both sites are just awesome!

http://www.literature-map.com/ Type in the name of your favorite authors. Then you will get a "map", showing authors who are similar to your favorite. The closer the author is to your favorite, the more similarly s/he writes. It's a great place to learn about new-to-you authors and find new favorites.

http://www.stopyourekillingme.com/ This is a great site if you're a mystery lover. It has all kinds of information about mysteries and whodunits.

Wich one is your favourite Genre of Books?

Dystopian.

Do you collect Books?

Yes.

How many do you have?

Probably just over 100 physical books. Would like to have a whole room full.

Do you have at home a special place for read and you dedicate time for the read?

No, but I would like to have a home with a library.

Which one is your favourite author?

Too many to narrow it down to one.

Do you have a E-Books?

Close to 100, I think. Maybe more.
