Its just to wait!  It can come any hour, but it can take a full week too...

I shall paste in some links for you, in one minute.

It should be about the same, but as in human second time births, will most likely go quicker. And since mom already knows what to do, kitten care will be more confident and quick too. Second litters are usually bigger too, my mama cat had 5,5, and then 7 in one year! Needless to say we had this little kitten machine spayed and adopted her into our family. Good luck and keep us posted!

Yes!    Im not sure if it is because her kittens are now down into positions - you wont feel them as much down there, also - their place is not the same as before.

Or even- the hard tummy is because precontractions had began and you feel it like a thigh well muscled tummy.

Unless you clearly notice big problems elsewhere, it is going forward into delivery....

Cats manage nicely a little too long pregnancy, unlike humans.  So dont worry, even it is would take a two days more. (I dont think it will take more than that, not with the kittens into birthing position now).

Good luck!

have a question my cat has 3 kittens nearly 2 weeks ago 2 of the kittens eyes fully open 1 kittens eyes still shut.  I heard that this could mean they are mixed kittens and one could be long haired. Well milli bred with a grey long haired but 2 kittens are black n white the one with eyes still shut is pure black would there be any truth in this does this mean could be 2 fathers and one kitten could b long haired . hope u understand my question.

There's no truth in longhaired kittens taking longer to open their eyes than shorthaired kittens.

Yes they could have different fathers but the kittens will all still grow and reach their development stages around the same time, whether they have short hair, longhair or what ever length hair :lol3:

Two shorthaired cats can produce a longhaired kitten if both the parents carry the longhair gene. So just because a litter as both longhair and shorthair kittens doesn't mean the don't all have the same father.

Is the kitten that has not opened its eyes yet smaller than the other two ? Does it weigh much less than the other two ? What is the difference in the weights ?

I would think that he just a little premature compared to the others, so he just a little behind them reaching the development stages.

As long as his eyes don't have any crustiness or goop around them sealing them shut. He should start to open them in the next few days.

At 6 weeks they should be pretty much transitioned to food though still nursing occasionally at this age is normal.

Can you please explain to us exactly  what you've done to try to wean them? It will be easiest for us to advise you if we know what you have already tried. Do they show any interest when mom is eating?
