My cat Shiloh ate fine in the morning, usual stuff and a few hours later vomited. It's not  unusual, cats vomit time to time so it didn't concern me. but a while later he came to me, trying to lie down on me ( he doesn't do that normally) his paws and ears were really cold and I felt his shivering. I covered him with the blanket while he was cuddling to my body...After a while he stopped shivering but he still lying on me which is highly unusual for him. His gums seem more pale than of the other cat. it happened first time...no other symptoms. Any experience with that?

I would definitely at least call the vet and describe all that to them if you can't bring him in. It's not normal, that's for sure. I take it it's not cold in your house? Pale gums and cold ears may indicate internal bleeding somewhere, so please get him some attention. Keep us posted, I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers!

Hi @lizzy7

Pale gums are frequently a sign of anemia - the causes of which are often very serious, kidney failure being just one.  Given the other symptoms  I would consider this close to a medical emergency and would urge you to see your vet ASAP.  I would call your vet today, explain the symptoms and see how fast they can get you in.

Please keep us informed and sending positive vibes.

Well, he is better now. He perked up and ate. I'm wondering if vomiting/torsions could cause sudden feeling cold and shivering. The gums seem now the same like the other cat's...mhmm...

Well i would still consider calling your vet but if not, if this re-occurs or he isn't 100% by tomorrow then definitely a vet visit.  But, good news is good news!

I'm thinking maybe vomiting (he vomited all his breakfast) caused sudden drop in blood sugar which can cause both cold/shivering and pale gums.
