I haven't had a chocolate bunny in years. And I want a chocolate bunny for Easter. Just so I can bite his ears off.

I am completely serious.

Even as a kid I felt somewhat guilty eating something that looks like an animal.
And I never was/am a vegetarian.
Peter the Rabbit comes by regularly to eat the bird seed in my front yard. Ritz enjoys watching him, pondering how to get to him. I've told Ritz it's not polite to eat your friends.

I have been wanting a chocolate covered fruit and nut egg because I got one every Easter as a child.  They don't sell them in a regular store though.  They have to be ordered or maybe they have them at a store like Anthony Thomas.  There is an Anthony Thomas close to where I live but I have resisted the temptation.  I am sure if I got one it wouldn't taste the way I remember them.

I think you 'deserve' a chocolate bunny, Winchester! Remember, life is too short to have regrets. You can always have a salad later if you think you can't have the bunny! I plan on eating normal this weekend and not next week!

I have seen that and it makes me giggle every time!

I'm always nice to them! Honest! But I plan on some major groveling.

My fav Easter candy are marshmellow chocolate eggs.  My Mom used to buy me them every Easter and I still love them.

I gave in and went to Anthony Thomas, they had the chocolate covered fruit and nut eggs.  I started out with the small 6 oz one and put it back and got the 12 ounce one.  I haven't had one of those in years.

Yep, it would!
I used to love those marshmallow chocolate eggs!

My parents made baskets for each of us three kids. A huge bunny was in the center of the basket with jelly beans and chocolate animals scattered about. Some colored eggs (we always colored Easter eggs). And marshmallow chocolate eggs. Hershey's kisses. I used to love our Easter baskets. My aunt (Dad's sister) and uncle never had children of their own, so they kind of spoiled us. They always gave us each a humongous Easter basket with scads of candy and another large chocolate bunny snuggled in the centers of the baskets.

As we got older and outgrew the baskets, Mom started buying a huge two-piece hollow chocolate egg that was beautifully decorated. It held lots and lots of little chocolate animals (hens and bunnies, as I recall), kisses, jelly beans and such. It was nestled in a bed of Easter grass on the hutch in the kitchen. She knew that we all dearly loved chocolate....and so did she (Mom loved, loved, loved the black spice jelly beans....she could resist buying a bag or two at Easter; we knew they were hers and we left them alone). We have two local candy stores in town where they make everything from scratch and she always bought from one of the candy stores. I still go there to buy their chocolate covered pretzels.

I'm not much of a jelly bean fan overall, but I still love my chocolate.
