I have an orphan kitten at home who is about 3 weeks old

It took about 3-4 days to get acquainted with our home and finally started to play a lot. But since last night it has been behaving very differently. I suddenly stops at a particular spot, crouching down on all 4s often staring at the wall as if its trying to keep an eye on something. Then when I call it, it comes to me very cautiously and slowly trying its best to keep a large distance between that spot it was staring at.

It has become very less playful and quite and keeps biting everything.
It seems to be very scared and has almost stopped mewing completely.

It seems to have become very depressed suddenly and walks slowly and extends its body while walking with its legs

when it does mew, its very very low in volume and like its forcing itself to do so

I am new with cats and very very worried for it.

The vet does not come until tomorrow morning. Please help

Your kitten is teething which explains the biting. Sometimes it can also cause discomfort in the mouth area which may explain why he is not playing so much.

About his strange behavior at the particular spot - well, cats have keener senses than we do. Perhaps the little one can hear or smell something in the wall or floor which scares him. Just reassure him with a tender cuddle.

Anyway, glad to know you will be bringing him to the veterinarian. A check up will bare any health issue your kitten might have.
