They play so darn cute and really quite well, it's nice to see the play mode happens in blind/deaf/normal kittens! Wish I could have taken a video clip today to show how silly they act at this age :)

Super adorable, tail whipping, etc. My all time fave is when a tiny kitten thinks he's tough and goes arching his back and hopping sideways, fur all puffed up :) Nothing's cuter.

I just have to stay patient here, I will know soon enough.
I was following this thread from before, and just admiring how positive your outlook is @catwoman707.

And then noticed how positive the other posts were also in @MServant   and then in @Feralvr   and @EB24.

With all the dancing and stuff, it felt like a party.

So now, I'm just going to add to the joyous party.....I think that every small step should be celebrated.....and the work that you @catwoman707   do, is so life giving.....not only for cats....but humans as well.

I know that other TCS members also expressed their well wishes, and so I want to as well.

And yeah....it is "super adorable" ...."when a tiny kitten thinks he's tough and goes arching his back and hopping sideways, fur all puffed up"....LOL...I can just picture this scene right now.....and it is so universal, they all do that.....lol

After reading this thread, and also seeing @StephenQ    facebook page to his blind cat Jenny,  and the videos, he has there.....it makes me look at "abilities and disabilities".very differently.....so thank you.

I'm glad my blind Jenny has helped you! Yay!
Yes, its true,  both your story @StephenQ and also @catwoman707 ....has made me realize, that these animals are like every other animal, just may do things a little differently.   In the past, I felt a little badly for them......not anymore....they are capable just like all of the rest.  Its good that you bring this out to people's attention, too.

I have to share in those thoughts as well, in the very beginning my heart ached for these 2, they are my first blind born kids, AND possibly deaf, so it started as wondering, reading, lots of worrying, but knowing how disabled cats and kittens have always done very well with my rescue in getting the perfect fitting homes, I have always been pretty confident about them too, but I must say, today in the play space what I was seeing, they don't know any different! They would encounter another playmate in there too, and they play tag, and pounce, and grab the little mouse toys and feather toys, the little boy found a puff ball and that was it! His ears went forward into play mode and he just had a ball with it! It made me see that life goes on for them regardless, they have the same feelings and spunk, full of life and love, I know they will do just fine.

Then to top it off how it seems like the one little boy just may have some sight was icing on the cake :)

Thanks so much everyone for your enthusiasm and positive energy!

I took some pics tonight, had 9 kittens in the play area, what a riot! Very entertaining to watch them all, and my white kids interacting just as much as the others :) A bit blurry but so much action! See in the 2nd to last pic that furry ball? He went back and found it again :)

We had twins all white kittens with pink paws and ears but one had two blue eyes and one had one green eye and one blue eye. Later we found out the one with green eye was lucky cuss most of the all white kittens with all blue eyes were deaf, and ours was ,cuss the other one had green and blue it was not deaf. The vet told us this. So the lady who got them, yes together(which I requested) has a system for him to come eat,and that's turning on lights on and off ,then he follows the other one.they take care of each other

Those photos are just beautiful.  Paloma and Pinot (or whatever you are calling them) playing and exploring, just warms the heart.  Having that bunch around, I doubt you even have time for television....okay.....maybe when they are sleeping.

So you said that next week is when  "kitten wrestlemania"  begins?   ha, ha.

Yes! At this stage they are still playing tag, bouncing up to one another and tapping with their paw, but next week's development will be into the pounce and wrestle stage :) These are the stages of kittens learning how to interact with other cats in their lives as well as people.

Oftentimes when there is an orphaned kitten who didn't have siblings to learn from, they will play fine but too rough and biting their human's hands in play. The wrestling shows one will pounce, they will wrestle, and the underdog will cry out like he's saying "UNCLE"!! Then the top kitten lets go, they get up, and it starts all over again, either the same pair or they choose another 'victim".
It teaches them limitations of what is too rough, too hard, etc.

Talk about 'busy'! LoL, that is one hyper play zone.
These kittens are so lucky to have siblings/play mates, toys almost literally coming out of their ears, and a whole lot of love.  They look far too cute for any words so that's it from me.

Looking forward to hearing how next week's interactions go....

I'm almost afraid to post this possible news, I don't want to jinx this kitten, but it's possible that the male who seems to have some amt of hearing, just might be able to see something, and may not be completely blind afterall.

I just have to stay patient here
Patience..................... :hyper: :lol3: NOT EASY !!!!!!!! AW, Lisa, this would be FANTASTIC NEWS!!!!!!!!!!! And, we will have to dance some more when you have more of a definite confirmation !!!!! Just a weeeeee little dance for such positive news. :hugs: :cross: :heart3:

AND OMG - CUTENESS ALERT AND OVERLOAD. You posting the photos of the kittens playing has made my day much, much brighter. There is nothing more uplifting to me than to see kittens playing together, happily, carefree, feeling the love. LOVE IT :9: and thank you for sharing the smiles and the joy. I can imagine how much fun it is to watch them.

RANDOM SIDE NOTE:

I went back and was re-reading your first post and just realized: you have NINE foster kittens and yet somehow have the time to ROCK that stellar manicure?!?!?!?!?

I praise you, for you are clearly Superhuman. Seriously, is there anything you can't do?!?!?!?!?

OMG, I missed that too!   I hope catwoman707 didn't go get the manicure especially for the photo shoot!
We are so bad for not noticing this before!  EB24 we need you for your attention to detail as well as your knowledge and kind words.
I wholeheartedly agree with EB24, this is indeed a superhuman feet with all those kitties running about.
 Award required!

@EB24   I hope you are now recovered from the horrible flu virus.

Where do you find space for them all?!
I don't, I am trying so hard to find fosters for them, there are 7 no less......mama was hit and killed by a car, 7 kits, 2 weeks old, and my bottle feeders are all full :(..........................this is the worst part ever.

I so wish I lived closer, but you know that already and it doesn't help.  You are doing everything you can, and way more than anyone could expect or probably imagine so keep reminding yourself of this.

Hi @catwoman707   I was just wondering.....does the humane society not have people themselves to feed these kittens, or is it because it has to be around the clock feeding, and may be they cannot provide that there? ( I really don't know the difference between rescues, shelters and humane societies as far as how they run things).
