I have this awful cough with stuffed up nose. So i wanted to see what you'd buy if you could buy one bottle of medicine only. TIA

Buckley's Bedtime. Nasty tasting but I always cough worse at night and that "scares" the cough away!

Wal-Tussin CF. It's Walgreen's brand of Robitussin - same ingredients, half the price.

Most Dr's will tell you to get robitussin. They have a syrup for dry coughs that help you lossen the mucus, they have syrups that help supress the cough. robitussin is the best cough syrup.

I personally don't take cough syrup I use vicks Vapo Rub.

Depending on where you are at in Canada Rite Aid stores also sell a "tussin" syrup.

Stay away from Nyquil. It is the most nauseating stuff, ever made.

If you have a dry cough, you want a suppressant. If its a wet cough, you want an expectorant. For a stuffy nose, a decongestant. According to an FDA study, cough syrups with guafenisin provide the best results. As a smoker, I get coughing fits, in the middle of the night and the guafenisin syrups let me get back to sleep.
