My cats are on generic prozac and I'm thinking of weaning them off the drug.  They were put on the drug due to redirected aggression-fights.  They were separated for 4 months and over two weeks ago, they started living together again.  One cat is already starting the process, she used to take 5mg every other day and this week, I've shaved it down to 3.3mg.  The other cat has been 2.5mg every other day.  I intend to do a very long and gradual weaning process.

On the days they do not take prozac, I give them 25mg of Theanine. I saw that it was the main ingredient in calming treats and bought the supplement in bulk.  As we move away from the prozac, I'd like to rotate in other supplements so the cats do not become use to Theanine.

I've used Rescue Remedy which seems to work by putting the cats to sleep.  So I have that on hand.  I've heard Valerian also works.  A tiny bit of chamomile tea also has been recommended.  Is there anything else I can use?  I'd appreciate suggestions that do not constipate as that's currently their number one health issue.

There's also Feliway pheromone diffuser as well as Jackson Galaxy's Spirit Essences and Australian Bush Flower Essences (same concept as Bach's - there are different formulations, not just Rescue Remedy) Theanine is good because as you said this is the main ingredient in most calming treats). Hopefully, they are past their fighting and can live together civilly with little to no medication.

Yes, I have two Feliway diffusers in place (one bedroom apartment).  I'll look into the Jackson Galaxy essence.  For some reason, I'm a little circumspect when it comes the flower/herbal essences.
