Hannah is in the garage being repaired. I get emails with two pictures of her every morning from our insurance company. The first two pictures on Monday showed her all taken apart....no grill, no bumper, no front quarter panel. Poor Hannah. Yesterday, the pictures show where she has the quarter panel back on. She's at the detailing stage right now. I should get her back on Thursday or Friday.

On Sunday, I went out to wash Clarence. Tried to start the Cruiser to pull him into the back yard and it just clicked. I haven't driven him much over the winter; once the snow was on the ground, I stopped. And the battery couldn't take it.  I checked the terminals and they were fine. Rick brought me into work Monday and Tuesday. And last night, I jumped the Cruiser, using Rick's truck, and got it down to the garage for a new battery. Got him back home, started him up this morning and..... it looks like he needs new windshield wipers.

I guess I'd be OK, as long as it didn't rain, but I think it's supposed to rain on Thursday. Off to the store tonight for new wipers. That boy is costing me a small fortune. New clutch. New tires. New battery. He just had an oil change and some new belts put on. Now wipers.

I'm not really complaining; it's all maintenance stuff and it all needs to be done. But geez......

OTOH, I drove him into work this morning. And he just rocks. I love driving stick-shift.

I love my car.

I can see where you would be frustrated. When is Hannah supposed to be ready?

Clarence is my PT Cruiser and he's red. Hannah is my Hyundai Tucson and she's red, too. (I like the color red.) Hannah is in the garage being repaired.....hit and run. Somebody hit her and never told me, never left his driver information or anything.

Clarence is my baby. He's a 2001 PT Cruiser, so he's pretty old by today's standards. But I'm not ready to give him up just yet. He has a manual transmission and I love driving around town in him. We drive the Tucson during the winter because of the snow and ice. But once the warmer weather gets here, then I start driving the Cruiser

I rarely drive my 1994 Yukon, but when I do I smile.  I love my car, but I LOVE my truck.  And the truck needs so much, sigh.  But in the event of a hurricane, I'm leaving in the truck.

Ooooo LOVE that photo, Pam!!!!!!!!! :D I know how you care for your cars. Hope Hannah comes home soon. ;) :) I, too, love driving stick shift. It has been years and boy, do I miss it. I love that control and love to zip around.

Awwww, thanks! Clarence still makes me smile.....he's a grand old car.

Hannah came home tonight; Rick took me in when he went in to bowl. She does look great.....they did an excellent job with her. I'm very pleased. (But the problem is that I know she was hit. No matter how good she looks, I know she was hit. And that's just not fair.)
