So basically i got this cat on thursday, along with his brother, his name is Sunny and the brother is Ray, they both seemed to like the place and really enjoyed being around the house for the first four days. But then yesterday, Sunny started running from window to window clamouring to get outside, i was foolish enough to forget to put the details of my house on his collar and my dad let him out yesterday at around 8/9 pm. It has been a day and i have gone out looking for him with treats and whistling (which always seems to coax him out of hiding spots) but with no luck. The previous owner who was a lovely woman guided me through the five days i was with him, and has been trying so hard to help me find him by phone (i live in Greenwich she lives in Leeds) i have been out day and night with no luck. (I will put a picture of sunny and ray together, he is the skinny cat at the bottom) Ray is in great distress but it seems that he knows that Sunny is around. He meows every so often at the window and always looks out for his brother. What should i do!??? He is spayed and Microchipped. He also has these stress problems which are medicated for. Any ideas!? Please i hate seeing Ray in such distress... But Sunny seems real smart and i am hoping to God that he remembers his new home and will come back! Please help me!!

It will not let me post a picture so ill describe him to you. He is black fur with a white nose and white feet, he is a Jellicle cat (aorry if misspelled) meaning he looks lile he is wearing a dinner jacket with white where the 'shirt' would be.. He has a dinky pink nose and orange eyes.

I'm sorry to hear! He is neutered, right?

Leave a can of smelly cat food out for him, hopefully the scent will attract him back.
Call the local vets and shelters, letting them know your cat got out and if someone turns him in, they know who to call.

Look in all bushes, under porches, tiniest cracks, in garages, high and low.

A plus that he is microchipped. That will help him be found faster.

Are there any groups in your area that trap-neuter-release feral cats? They might be able to lend you a trap and show you how to use it. There may be other sources of traps in your area. Use the smelly food as the lure and cover the trap. Good luck.

He could very easily be nearby, and just holed up somewhere.  Cats will often do that.  And he most likely won't come out when called.  So you need to search absolutely everywhere, close to home.

If you have a picture, make up signs and post them around the neighbourhood.

Good luck!

I am so sorry to hear about your cat that is missing.  You might want to print up some fliers with his picture and take them door to door in your area.  Post them wherever you can.  You can check humane societies as well as vets to see if anyone has seen him.

Is he neutered?  If not he may be out and about searching for a mate.

:sniffle: I am so sorry about little Sunny. Have you checked out this excellent resource on tips for searching for lost kitties? http://www.thecatsite.com/t/248019/tips-for-finding-a-lost-cat

Good to know that he was microchipped as this will help so very much to bring him home to you if someone finds him and tries to locate an owner. I second the suggestion about putting flyers all over your surrounding neighborhoods and local vet offices. Even the police department! People often call the police first when they find a lost kitty. hope and pray that he will be found very soon. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

Call your local radio stations and see if they have a 'lost pet' section you could put a notice in. Put an ad in the local lost and found in the newspaper. Make sure every shelter in the area knows about him and has your phone number. I've had excellent luck with these three things. Good luck and keep us updated please!

That would depend how big your town is...LOL. I would make at least 50 if you can do it cheap, and hang them EVERYWHERE! May you find your sweet Sunny soon! I'll keep you all in my prayers.
