Hello!

I recently started feeding my cats raw, (only one has completely taken to it, while the other one still needs some convincing) . I made the mistake of giving him some processed treats and he ended up throwing everything (i felt horrible!) up which led me to the question, what possible cat treats are available to cats who eat raw?

I plan on giving him some egg yolk every once in a while and some chicken necks but what other options are there out there? Any suggestions on also items that can supplement a raw diet?

Thanks!

Freeze dried meats and organs are great healthy snacks. Only one ingredient! Some brands are Whole Life, Pure Bites and Etta Says. Egg yolks are good as well. Also, acanned sardines in spring water (no salt) are good once a week snacks.

I give my cats Orijen freeze dried treats. Three of my four cats love them. I've even crumbled them up to use as a topper when my picky cat was being a stinker over a change in my raw recipe.

mine love the freeze-dried hearts from fresh is best. Even reluctant Rascal is known to nibble them!

Also, pinkie mice.  If you dare, crickets (once in a while) are lots of fun - if I just say, "cricket", they come running (the cats, that is. not the crickets)

Freeze dried treats are the way to go, at least according to Ritz. See if you can buy chicken heads or chicken feet at your local farmer's market. Ritz loves chicken heads, did not know what to do with a chicken foot.
I use to give Ritz freeze dried liver, which Ritz loved--but it made her poo really smelly.
And, yes crickets, Ritz likes them okay. I put them in the bathtub so they don't get loose. I buy them at PetCo/PetSmart, about 11 cents each.
But what Ritz prefers is when a spider/daddy long legs/lady bug finds its way into my house the 'natural' way. She may not eat it, but pure entertainment.
BTW: you can buy freeze dried treats marketed to dogs, as long as they are 100% meat/protein, they are fine. I find the treats for dogs come in a greater variety. Bison heart anyone?

This. My boys get freeze dried lamb liver. Nice big chunks so they really have to chew them up (They're main coons so they have larger jaws)

My cats will catch spiders and palmetto bugs and eat them.
