Yes Betsygee, I call other cats by my two boys' names too. I even sometimes call my nephew Domi. That's happened over the past 17 1/2 years because he was born just before I got my cats and loved playing cats with them. Hehehe.
And I'm sure that because these were my first ever pets that I had on my own, I will never forget them. I do love all other cats almost instantly but none are like Domi and Zets. [emoji]10084[/emoji]️

Mycatwasthebest, I feel more normal now knowing that you did the same thing I am doing now. My moms cats, Drake and K.O., will be moving in the next couple weeks. They are outdoor cats and didn't even have a litter. I will wash Domis for them before they move in. I will put Domis toys and some other things in my bedroom to keep for myself. The other boys have their own toys and dishes. Domi didn't really have a special food dish, I used glass bowls for his food because they don't harvest bacteria and are easy to clean. I still haven't washed his brothers dish for when he was here. I guess you're right and I will eventually move his stuff.
Rather than keep their ashes (I wasn't strong enough to do that), I got their paw prints in clay for both of them. I will put them in a shadow box with some of their fur.
Well, thanks for your message. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

It's been a week and a day since Domi went to sleep and I miss so much everyday. I have been laughing when I describe funny things that he used to do to my friends, but deep down I wanna cry. Today the Cat Hospital called me to pick up his clay paw print. When I opened it up in the car, it hit me hard; my baby is really gone. [emoji]128575[/emoji] I used to massage his paws all the time and feeling his little paw in the clay was so hard. It was is beautiful and they did a wonderful job. I have uploaded it below for you all to see. Thanks again for listening to my thoughts and stories; it helps me so much.

The print is beautiful, don't be hard on yourself, it's only been a week. Domi was a beautiful soul and to have you love him as you do is a beautiful tribute. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

@Adrianna25   There is nothing wrong with crying, and it can be good to let it all out, but probably better to do it while at home, or if sitting parked in the car.  When it hits you, you can't help it anyway.  Releasing those emotions makes you feel drained for awhile, but then it gets better, too.

Domi's paw print is beautiful.

Thank you so much to all of you. It means a lot to me that you all understand what I am going through. I try not to talk too much about Domi in public, if I am feeling especially sensitive that day. I usually talk openly about what funny things he did or taught me and how special it was to cuddle with him before he went to sleep. I am so deeply honored that two smart and sweet kittens like both Domi and Zets chose me on that cold January day in 1997. [emoji]10084[/emoji]️

LOL! He and his brother were both big cats. But I think that they spread the paw out into the clay when they make the mold.

@mycatwasthebest   I think it just looked larger to you because it was a close up and in the second photo of Zetsy's paw,  @Adrianna25   has her hand there for reference scale.....lol.....It did not look like a cougar paw to me, but did look like a larger cat.  Run like the wind....Domi and Zetsy.  and watch over your mom, too.

how are you doing @Adrianna25.....Today I woke up to the worst thought in the world, for a cat person...that I chose to put my cat to sleep......not that there was no-choice, since he was suffering.

I hate these type of random thoughts, that pop up, but I am used to them happening, so just get sad, angry and then move on with the day. Mostly they are annoying.

hope your day is better.

Yes you are correct about the size in relation to my hand. Lol. Never realized that when I took the picture.

I'm in bit of a downer right now but will be going out shortly and my focus will be on other things. Thank you for asking. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

I'm so sorry for your loss.  Domi was precious and blessed to have you, as you were blessed with him.
I wish all cats could be so fortunate to have someone like you to look out for them.

@ catnap Yes, you are correct and I didn't realize that my posts would help others as well. Thank you for reminding me of that. :rbheart:
That was a funny comment about the cougar paw was cute. Hehehe.

@nurseangel I wish all cats (& animals) were taken good care of them too. If I lived on a farm, I would adopt so many cats. Lol. I just love them so much. Domi & Zets were like my kids and got everything they wanted or needed. :D

I just wanted to share a picture that a group on Facebook makes for people who have lost their pets. This person or people donates their time and do wonderful things.
