This is bit odd, one of mine had few years ago fatty liver, he was then near death but he did survived and has been very energetic since then.

He has been lot at outdoors lately too, but there was few days when I was sick that I could not take him outdoors.

Now yesterday I took him out again, I carried him down the stairs and when I was about to put him down he got very anxious and made warming sound, after that he immediately bit me quickly making his point of let him go immediately, I was already in process of letting him go so there was not much to do really, he just got bit frustrated I guess.

He spend his day outdoors and was avoiding me more than usual, but it is normal for him to avoid me at outdoors until he wants pets, playing, food or back indoors, which he is not often wanting early enough, he would like to be longer at outdoors, but yesterday he was first avoiding of getting indoors, then he went to explore and when some time later he came back he went straight in as I opened the door, also when I opened the other door he did go immediately to his bed.

Today at the morning he was at the bed, at mid day he was at the bed, so he was at the afternoon too and even at evening.

At evening I thought that I need to get him out from the pet, so I did lot of petting and tried to get him to play, but he was not very interested, I could easily pick him up and put him on my lap, which normally is much harder, he did purr loudly from any petting actually, but not purring otherwise.

Then I offered him food and he ate a little bit.

No anything that would show up as injury, he seems not to be sensitive from any part of body, just like if he would be very sleepy.

Then after he ate a bit he climbed back to his bed.

He has larger pupils than normal and his eyes are tiny bit more closed than normal and head is not so upright as usual, also he seem to like to get pettins for top of head more than usual, also he rubs top of his head to everything, like rubbing scent when happy.

Also normally he demands loudly to be let outdoors, he has huge urge to get outdoors, but now he is completely ignorant of the door.

Also while I attempted to get him out from bed, he was standing, but then put front of his body down and decided to fall on his side, either side seemed to suit him just fine.

Later I came back and he was still on his bed, then I did bit of petting and he even turned on his back and enjoyed from belly rubbing with loud purring, but did not leave the cat bed, which would be his normal action any time when I came into room and pet him. Normally he jumps down and bumps to me with his head as he asks to be let outdoors.

His face fur is not sleek, but it is more like if it would be bit messy, like human has sometimes hair when waking up, something cats too can have when they are awoken from deep sleep, he is very much like awoken from deep sleep, but he is that constantly now.

I know that cats can hide injuries really well, so what I think is that maybe he has some injury, maybe he has been a fight or maybe there has been some other creature than cat hurting him, so he is now afraid to go outdoors and to leave cat bed.

Has anyone experienced such rapid change in their pets?

Do you think that it would be physical injury or something else?

I could be of course that tomorrow he is back to normal and I worry too much, but when he had fatty liver, he was quite soon bad from first symptoms I could spot and he is now eating, so I doubt that being reason.

Also his ears and nose are perhaps more red than usual, instead of yellow as when he had fatty liver.

Today he was bit better and did show interest of going outdoors so after some negotiations I thought that maybe letting him do what he enjoys would get him bit better.

Not sure how well it will go, but at least he was roaming around quite normal way.

Maybe he was just having an "off" day

Sometimes my cats don't act quite right,  like they don't come running for breakfast or something strange like that, and I immediately start wondering if something is wrong, then later on everything will seem back to normal.  I figure maybe they ate a bug that disagreed with them or something.  But if it ever lasts longer than 24 hours, then I whisk them off to see the Vet, since things can go downhill fast. (as you know with that Fatty Liver Disease... (we've been through that here too
)

Who really knows, maybe he just had that, or tummy twists, even I get those sometimes :D

He was this evening his evasive himself alright, it used to be easy to get him indoors, but after one incident where he all of sudden turned around rammed against my logger's boots and got almost stepped over in stumbling process he has been quite evasive with getting indoors, but with enough encourament and ignorance he usually gets inside and maybe he realizes with time that it was really his fault :)

Anyway I need to monitor him a bit now to see if there is much of change, but with him that is sometimes bit hard to spot as he is quite random compared to many others.
