Hello new friend!

I have a question. Hope you can help. Our newest addition had one kitten last night. Poor kitty was stillborn. She hasn't had any since. What should I do? I know there are more but no sign of them. Please help I am so new to new kittens. Again I thank you for responding to my intro.

Our cat had her first kitten last night at about 9:30. No more since. What should I do? I am pretty sure there are more. No signs of Brewster having contractions. She is in her box and sleeping. Please help us.

Hi there

l have no personal experience with this, but l've read many responses on here saying that this can be completely normal. lf the cat is visibly distressed then of course she needs to see a vet immediately, but as long as she's comfortable and relaxed, the time between kittens can be hours or even days. l'd just keep an eye on her for any abnormal discomfort and enjoy the process.

Maybe someone knowledgeable and experienced like @StefanZ   could advise you further.

Thank you so much! She is comfy and I am sure wore out. I am keeping an eye on her. Brewster is in her box next to my chair. I have been reading the forums here trying to gather any info I can. So nice of you to respond.

Yes, I agree with Andrya.  As long as she is comfy and no troubles, proceed as you do,  observe her but you dont need to panic.

If you notice problems, contact your vet.  Long prolonged labor we dont like either.  The first kitten, yes, it can take some time.  The following ones should go easier, so say 30-40 minutes, and sound the bell.

Good luck!
