Can everyone please share tips on litter training 4 week old kittens? Everything I'd read pretty much said provide a small litter tray use their front paws to make little scratching motion and the rest comes naturally / is taught by mum, well not here lol, they've had the litter tray for 3 days and not used it at all, Daisy is still mostly taking care of their waste but I'm having to change the blanket sometimes twice a day and have just had to do away with the cardboard box they were in (I had a waterproof mat down under blanket but they kept digging around and moving it) and switch to a plastic box so I can clean it and today 2 of the kittens peed on my bed! So any help and advice would be greatly appreciated :D

At 4 wks of age they still do not have full control of their bowel movements/urination. You are essentially just getting them used to the idea of going to the litter box.

Place the kittens in the box after each meal. You may also need to have multiple boxes available for them. Also, kittens should be confined to a small area so as to not get very far from the litter box.

Yes they're confined to my bedroom so that's not an issue, they only just started having food yesterday so still mostly just nursing as and when, will start putting them in after they've eaten then and hope for the best, I have the main litter tray which their mum uses and this little one (its actually a small roasting tin lol) will get more though not sure where I'll put them as they've already taken over my room pretty much lol

Yeah at 4 weeks of age if they are not really getting it yet, that is not a big concern. Do as suggested and put them in the tray after meals.  You can also show them with your own fingers how to scratch the litter.

I'm sure they will get it in time... it is too early/soon to worry about it at this point.

Please keep us updated!
