This is my cat Sapphire. She is a 12 year old Himalayan.
The other day she was looking as if she was not feeling well- sleepy, lethargic, and her left eye was very weepy (which is common in Himalayas, they're eyes do weep a fair bit) but it was more so than usual, it was almost completely shut. The next day she seemed back to her usual self, so I thought that maybe she just had a cold or something? Now today (2 days after) on the back of her left ear there appears to be a small patch of fur missing and a small scabby looking thing.

Does any one have any idea on what this could be ? I don't want to go to the vet if it's nothing to worry about
She is a complete indoor cat, she will occasionally lie on the deck when it's sunny out but that's about it for her going "outdoors"

Hi there and welcome to TCS!

Your kitty is darling.

I am not able to see the scab spot in the pics, can you possibly get a clear close up shot?

Aw what a beautiful kitty! I can see the hair loss spot and scab, but barely! I will say, that it is impossible for anyone here to be able to tell you what it may be. If you have Colloidal Silver on hand, you can apply that for a few days about 4 times per day and see if you see improvement. You mention, on top of that ear, that your kitty was not feeling well the other day so I would take Sapphire to her vet for a check up. The vet can then look at that scab and may want to do a scraping to look under a microscope at some of the skin cells. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:
