It has been about a week now since we have seen our beautiful red persian Yogi.

Please don't flame me for having indoor/outdoor cats but I was just wondering if you could send us some good vibes for Yogi to come home.

It's very upsetting and it took me alot of courage to post here.

We miss you Yogi!

Yogi's Ad

Here's his ad, that I posted, hopefully somebody spots him. Also some advice would be good as well!

Thanks in advance.

Keep searching, talking to be heard, leave food and familar smelling items at your doorstep and in the vicinity.....and I don`t know how cold it is there, but if you could leave your door open enough at night.....that is how ours came back, but she was missing overnight. Also, could she be shut in someones shed or garage? I definetly send good vibes your way.Do not give up hope, cats have come home after weeks, it can happen! Linda

Sam - have you tried checking your old place? Sometimes pets will go back to the house you lived in before because it is familiar.

My vibes going out your way and I hope you find Yogi safe and sound.

Hi Guys-

Just made tonnes of leaflet things and put them in peoples letter boxes, also made big posters for the supermarkets and It may sound silly but I chucked some of the leaflets into the wind. You never know you just picks them up!

I did another good search whilst shaking biscuits but no yogi. Methinks the dog next door might have given him a fright?

He has been gone for up to 6 days before but never a week. God I hope he's okay.

Whitby, where we used to live is just ten minutes away but heck. yah really think he could have gone that far? I will ask Nana who lives in the same street to go and have a look around. I have never had a cat go missing and I know how upsetting this is now!

Thanks for all your good vibes, TCS vibes never fail! Come home Yogi!!!!!!

Hi Sam

I hope that he comes home safe and sound. I had a burmese who went missing for 3 weeks - but he came home. I used to stand and call for him in the early morning and at dusk - apparently that helps. I used to call at other times to but made a concerted effort then.

I really hope he comes home!

Angela.

Sam - I'm sure nobody would dream of flaming you - you're obviously devastated at Yogi's leaving home.

I cant imagine having one of my persian babes go missing . . . I'll send heaps of good vibes over to you.

Good luck and keep looking!!

Sam,

My previous cat, Lucie, started her life as a barn cat. I think because she started out living outside, she never wanted to be strictly an indoor cat. We really didn't want to let her out, but she was miserable. We lived in a small town and she was spayed with all of here shots, so we decided to let her out during the day.

She disappeared for about a week when she was a year old. I put an ad in the paper, and someone called!! She lived all the way across town - a small town, but still about a mile. Lucie had been hiding in her bushes for a few days, and she had been feeding her, but couldn't coax her out. I went over with the Pounce can, shook it once, and she came flying out - scared, but OK. So don't give up on Yogi.

Unfortunately, this doesn't have a good final ending. Lucie disappeared for good two years later. I suppose I should be the one to get flamed for continuing to let her out. We tried to keep her in for a while, but she would hide and streak out the door the second it opened. She just didn't want to be an inside cat all the time, and I think by then it was too late to change her.

After Lucie, I will never have an outside cat again.
