Hi,
so my cat sophie, is a female cat about a year old. She has always been an extremely affectionate cat. But lately she has gotten way more affectionate than usual, and is eating a bit less than usual. I had thought that she was going into heat (we are getting her spayed at the end of the month, but that was a week ago, and she has not gone into heat. (we have seen her in heat and know that is not what it is). She is also a lot more vocal than usual, but other than these things seems to be a happy cat. She is also on a new weight management food. to help her with her weight, shes a little overweight according to our vet.

so my question is, is any of this something to be worried about, or am I just being paranoid? I just don't have $70 for my vet to tell me im paranoid and the cat is fine :)

I wouldn't be worried yet if they are the only signs. My cats go though phases of being more affectionate than usual.
As for the being more vocal she might just have found out that this means I get more attention if I do this so ill do it more often lol :lol3:
The eating less is probably the new diet - a bit of a protest really.

Unless she start showing any other signs I wouldn't be worried yet. Just keep your eye on her ;)
