Could someone please help me? My kitten fluffy has starting walking funny tonight? I have had a look and a can't see anything wrong with her she isn't crying in pain she's still wanting to run about and play ? I'm talking her to the vets in the morning but just wondering if there is anything I could do to help her in till then?
Thank you

What do you mean by walking funny?  Is she limping or walking leaning to one side?  How old is she?  Has she been spayed yet?

Okay first off if she's limping that means she's in pain and trying to alleviate it by not putting at much weight on the paw/leg. Has she recently gotten stuck anywhere gotten her leg caught or twisted some how or fell from a high place? The best thing you can do for Fluffy if you can't get her to a vet today is limit how far she can go put her in a dog crate if you can big enough for a bed litter tray and food and water (Make sure there's plenty space between litter and food for her own peace of mind!). On the not so serious side she may simply have sprained the leg or pulled it which a couple of weeks cage rest as described would sort. On the more serious end she could have broken a bone! Now I had Lilly break  her back left femur when she was a kitten its took a  surgery to put a pin in her leg six weeks cage rest another surgery to take the pin out when the bone was healed and then another few weeks cage rest and limited roaming and jumping until her muscle built back up! Now I don't want to alarm you but those are the only two reasons I could think of why your kitten would be limping you should get her seen asap!

I'm assuming theres no broken skin if so thats really a good sign I hope little fluffy is okay but you may want to try (and I say try with a little laugh in my voice cause cats will be cats) to stop her from jumping onto high places or running around to much so she doesn't cause any more damage to her already hurt leg x

A little kitten that I saved 2 years ago *estimated 6 weeks old) jumped off a chair 3 days after I got him and broke his leg. Luckily  the bones stayed in line and a cast was all he needed. However this happened in the evening so we had to wait until morning to see the vet. He limped and played all evening on it. I couldn't keep him resting. The next day he saw the vet and was casted. that cast was so big for his tiny body but the way he played with it on you would never thought anything was wrong. The vet took it off 8 weeks later.

Most probably a break of some kind then though my cat eventually took to hiding and we noticed late at night and was a trip to the emergancy vet which cost us a small fortune

Fingers crossed it's something minor and she'll be running around in no time.

That's good to know, it's best to seek professional advise so that the cause can be determined and proper intervention can be done. Keep us posted.
