That was tough! I've always hated those darn logic questions....

But, my score was: 122

Your Intellectual Type is an Insightful Linguist.

This means you are highly intelligent and have the natural fluency of a writer and the visual and spatial strengths of an artist. Those skills contribute to your creative and expressive mind.

I tried this and didn't like my results. I actually enjoyed doing the test, but the results came in 8 points lower than I've scored in the past, and I'd hate to think I'm losing that much brain power in my late 40's!

My husband took this also and got caught up short...he has an IQ in the genius range, but didn't take this test too seriously...ahem! It was a good score, but no where close to what he's scored in the past.

Any one else find themselves getting a lower score than they would expect?

Hey, Heidi, My score was 122 also and mine said exactly the same thing (Insightful Linguist, etc.). I guess great "insightful" minds think alike, huh?

Here was their read on me-

We also compared your answers with others who have taken the test. According to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is a Word Warrior.

This means you have exceptional verbal skills. You can easily make sense of complex issues and take an unusually creative approach to solving problems. Your strengths also make you a visionary. Even without trying you're able to come up with lots of new and creative ideas. And that's just a small part of what we know about you from your test results.

You know, I honestly don't put much stock into "IQ". What matters is the application of the intelligence that you have.

I found their explanation of the number quite interesting, but the number itself is meaningless to me.
But that may be the Linguist in me.

Oh and it also said...

we can tell your Intellectual Type is a Precision Processor.

This means you're exceptionally good at discovering quick solutions to problems, especially ones that involve math or logic. You're also resourceful and able to think on your feet. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.

well, after about age of 12, the actual definition of IQ is pretty much meaningless, as IQ is the ratio of your mental age to your physical one...so if a 10 year old were performing the tests at the level of a 12 year old, they would be 12/10 or 120%...thus, 120 IQ.

it's a bit different in adults, but you are correct, it really is just a number.

Me too...on the second time I took it! The first test, same numerical result but different interpretation, they described me as a Facts Curator - you are highly intelligent and have picked up an impressive and unique collection of facts and figures over the years. You've got a remarkable vocabulary and exceptional math skills.

That was interesting. I did score lower than the last time I was tested, but that was about 35 years ago! LOL

138: "According to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is a Visionary Philosopher.

This means you are highly intelligent and have a powerful mix of skills and insight that can be applied in a variety of different ways. Like Plato, your exceptional math and verbal skills make you very adept at explaining things to others — and at anticipating and predicting patterns. And that's just some of what we know about you from your IQ results."

They certainly know how to butter you up. It's almost as if they're trying to get you to buy something...
