The orange stray kitty(have a post on him in sos)slipped out of my son's room a few minutes ago when he opened the door.I knew he came out cause I have a bell collar on him and heard him.
I immediately jumped up to put him back up and before I could get to him he was attacking my 5-6 month old kitten.
I reached down to grab him off before I thought and almost got bit.
This is a 14 pound muscular cat.I grabbed him up by his scruff and put him in a cage.
My Max is okay, just some wet spots in his fur.I don't think he broke the skin anywhere.I'm shaking so bad I couldn't hardly look.
Ok,I'm going to try and calm myself down a little bit and check Max again.

OMG! How scary! Just remember to take some deep breaths & calm down a bit. But I understand 100% how frightening that would be!

I just checked Max over good and I don't see anything,so hopefully he will be okay.I will just have to keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't get an abcess or anything.
He already caused neighbor's cat to have an abcess.
I just don't know what could be his problem.I got him neutered, but that hasn't helped one bit.

Max is my little bottle fed baby.

Heavens ! You poor thing, and poor stray cat - he clearly comes from a very scary place where he just HAS to attack. Poor Max, hopefully all your love and attention will compensate him from the fright.

Good Luck with stray cat

I'm trying to find the stray a home, but he will have to go to a home with no other kitties.
Also I will require that he be inside only.
It took him a few weeks when he first came here to even come to me.He would run off and then got to where he would meow at me and then finally let me pet him.
He is not at all feral or anything I just think someone has been mean to him.

My goodness that IS scary!! Poor Max, poor you, and poor stray kitty. Tobycat is right, that stray has to have come from some pretty scary experiences to behave like that.

I hope Max is OK and there isn't any injuries you can't see.

Yeah I think the stray has probably been through some rough times. He is so aggressive.

He didn't have ahold of Max for very long.A few seconds maybe.I will keep a close eye on him and if anything gets suspicious I will take Max and my Visa straight to the vet.

Yeah I hope I find him a home quick, too. My mom works with a lady that was thinking about getting a cat.Her and her husband had one for like 16-17 years and "lost" it not too very long ago.
My mom is talking to her about adopting this one since she is thinking about getting one anyway and she doesn't have anymore.

Wow - that would be horrible. I think that the stray is just still scared and doesn't want to share his "new terrritory" with any other kitty. He just has to realize Max was there 1st!

How long ago was he neutered? It will take about 3 - 4 weeks for the testosterone to clear his system, so you have to expect aggression until that time period has passed.

This must be really stressful for you. I admire the fact that you are willing to work with him even though he is obviously a lot of trouble.

Sometimes even neutering dosen't help. Some cats are very territorial by nature and especially if he had to fight for his existance when he was out doors. Yup a home where he can be king of his castle is definately the way to go.

Thanks for being there for him...

He was neutered on Oct 2nd,so it's been almost 4 weeks.
He just seems like the type of cat that will always be this way.I could be wrong, and I really hope I am.I was planning on just putting him back outside here, but he can't be with other kitties and my neighbor's cat stays here and I have 2 others outside.
I am just keeping my fingers crossed that I can find him the home he deserves.

I am trying my best to work with him.Another thing he does is when I pet him he will roll over on his side and I will just be petting him on his other side and he will out of the blue bite me and start scratching.
Not playful either.I will tell him NO and he has gotten to where he quits, but leaves my hand in his mouth.LOL.

He is a pretty cat.He is looking a lot better since he has been in.When I first brought him in,he had a cut place on his eye,a little bald spot on his tail, was scratched to pieces, all from fighting.(I have another neighbor with an unneutered cat,but I can't catch him,but as soon as I do he will get neutered, and they liked to fight a LOT)

I just hope I can find someone to adopt him very soon.I hate having to keep him shut up in the bedroom all the time, but I have no other choice.
