hey im laura. 23 and live in wanganui, new zealand. Im the mummy of george and mouse. George is my 4 year old ginger and white tom who lives with my parents because i moved from their home in the country into town and i was scared of him getting lost or hit by a car. I had him since birth, sadly his real mum passed away a few months after he and his kitten siblings were born. Heres some pics of him growing up. I have now adopted a beautiful tabby and white girl from a cat rescue, who i called mouse. Shes such a character! She steals my flat mates 8 month old puppys toys and brings them in the catflap! Im also always finding sticks in my room. Heres some pics of the little sneak
Shes so funny, she always has to be touching we. Wheather its sitting on my chest or just resting her paw on my arm. We are currently cuddling in bed
. I found this page while googling ideas about how to stop her skidding upside down under my bed at nights, now im hooked on everyones pictures and stories!

Welcome to TCS, Laura!

You kitties are so lovely, and like so much fun!

I also have a ginger George--he's not mine, he's the next-door neighbor's cat, but he makes his rounds every day to my backyard, and lets me pet him.

And she is adorable in your photos, but what's up with George and his spider man costume?  Did his spider senses go off, so he had to save someone?

she plays with the puppy too. he gets a bit rough but she just runs away. she teases him lots. gets his attention then he starts to play and then she walks through the cat flat and sits on the other side looking at him because he cant get in.

george and his spider suit... well. he awoke from his sleep. done a few twirls on two feet then when he stopped he was wearing the suit. i think his spidy senses were tingling. but it turned out to be a dream. so he gave away his secret that he is spidycat.

LOL....she is so smart.....poor dog....oh well, at least she does not beat him up too bad.  My 14 yr old cat is okay with my black labrador, but they don't really play,  Spotty the cat just swats him when he walks by, apparently for no reason, so the dog, who is 2 yr old , thinks this is an invitation to play....Poor guy, he gets swatted again....game over.  lol

So George, Spidycat, revealed too much, and will now have all the "evil villains" coming after him.  Could Mouse be a sidekick then?  What super-hero would she be then?

lol frank (the boxer x mastiff puppy) thinks its play time as soon as mouse is outside. which is causing some troubles. but mouse plays and when its too much shell run inside or go up a tree. only to get stuck lol.

Oh, no.  she goes too high?....she will not be a good super hero sidekick then.

It's good she plays though.  Does the boxer-mastiff pup, kind of run like a tank, and just push her around?  Or is he more stable?

YEAh too high and cant remember how to get down. She just howls until i get the ladder.
Frank is a big clumsy goof. He often stands on her, and being almost 30kgs, i dont want him to pop her.

oh, boy.   I would not know how you teach her to come down, but she better learn.  I had a cat like that as a kid, and had to climb the darn tree every single time.  She knew how to get up, but then could not figure if she needed to go backwards down, and pull out her claws, or nose down as though running down the tree.  I had no clue either.

maybe you should post that question as a thread in the Behaviour section.  who knows, some cat person, may have a suggestion or two. lol  (I am sorry, I should not be laughing....the visual is stuck in my mind right now, and I see the fire department, with those handsome guys, coming out to rescue her....lol)

Wow, Frank is big for a puppy.  My friend's boxer is I think,  around that weight, but is a female, so smaller.

oh, okay, so maybe Frank is like a labrador height, or a german shepard height.  at 8 months then?  Is he full grown in height ?

That tree is beautiful, and the branches seem to come at least 6 feet to the ground.    Weird, that she does not just use the low branches and drop to grass.

I am going to go read your thread.  brb.

Hes probably a bit smaller than a lab. Hopefuly hes finished growing!
She cant climb down, shes a bit slow lol. Sometimes i think shes just too lazy.
The tree is horrible! All the billions of acorns wait for you to be underneath then fall on your head.

LOL. LOL....Sounds about right!  It waits for you and then the acorns release.  We have an English Oak Tree with acorns  and the squirrels go "nuts", both figuratively and literally when october comes.  They start dropping them on my head, but I love all animals, so what am I supposed to do?

Do you guys have squirrels down there? Or is it like australia, where I have no idea what type of animal they have.....what is a platypus....and are they dangerous in the water?
