My six year old cat started limping yesterday. I was out, came back, and noticed he was limping. Now my cat doesn't like for anyone to touch his front paws in general. I've had him for three years and he still won't let me touch them. I read online that I need to check his paw for foreign objects/bleeding/bone poking through the skin/etc. That's sort of hard to do when he won't let me touch his paw. Any suggestions? I live in the middle of nowhere, so there's one Veterinary office. However, they're closed till Monday. I would have took him yesterday, but I got home at two and the vet closes at noon. I also read that I need to limit his jumping. He pretty much stays on my bed 24/7. I've moved his food and water to my bed. He still jumps down and back up. I don't know how to keep him from jumping. He won't put any of his weight on his paw though. If I move him out of my room, he still jumps on the cat tower/couch/table/etc. If someone could just help me with the questions I've listed above and just give me general information as to what I need to do, I would greatly appreciate it.

You could wrap him up in a towel with just his paw hanging out and try to investigate it that way.  Otherwise, keep doing what you're doing until you can get to the vet.
