Hello everyone I am new to this site, I happen to find it doing a Google search. LOVE THE SITE!!!

My question is, I took in a stray cat ,about 3 months ago, cutest little thing. I call her Wild Kitty. :)

Well she is pregnant not sure how long she is very big..... The other day lets 4 days ago she was leaking some fluid in the back end, I cleaned her up. She has been sleeping a lot. I wanted to know if I should be worried I thought it might of been her water breaking. I just want to make sure she ok. I was reading you should be able to feel the kittens move, but I try to feel and I do not feel them, that makes me worry. She is really big. So I think she might have them soon. Just wanted some feed back from some people who have experience in this.

Thank you:)

It's  hard for me to say for sure from what you describe if something is wrong or not. What was the fluid she was leaking like?

I would most definitely take her to the vet for a check up if I were you either way, and to arrange a spay for as soon as she can have one.  The vet will be able to tell you how far along she is and to make sure everything is actually on track.  Did you ever feel the kittens moving? Is she acting distressed in any way other than the sleeping a lot? When you say sleeping a lot, is it markedly more than usual?

Thanks for helping this cat.

Ah, if you want to be sure, the best is to contact your vet... The vet will know what follup up questions to give.

Even a visit may be in order. A check up is a cheap insurance, when you really dont know and dont have much clue...

The waters are supposed to go immediately before the birth, but sometimes they go earlier, and its not always a problem with that...

The last days before delivery the kittens are in birthing positions lower down.  They dont move as much there, and you also feel them in another place.

But all in all, if you want to be sure, contact your vet.

A good page our Anne has made up the other week:

Good luck!

She is not distressed in anyway very loving to me likes me to hold her alot. Sleeping ,well she sleeps 90% percent of the day under my bed. She does not act like she is in any discomfort. The fluid it was clear just a little in her back end.. It  I will call the vet ,he is not open today, but I will call on Monday. Thank you.
