My siamese cat is turning 6 months on april 9. Lately she is doing unusial behavior like that of an in heat cat. I cant believe she is inheat for she is young. I attatched a photo of her. Can you confirm if she is in heat? Thanks

6 months early, but not extremerly early.

And siameses are known as one of the breeds which may come into heat early.

So, although the pics dont tells me much, my guess is - yes, she had began now.  Beware!

And unless you are a breeder, high time for the vet doc to do his duty.   :)

Good luck!

My feral cat, Mia, went into heat at age 4 months and was pregnant when I trapped and spayed her and age 4 and a half months. The vet confirmed her age. Yes, it is very possible for some cats to go into heat that young.

Wow.. That was too early. Isn't it bad for the cat's health to give litter at that young age?

6 months is the average for going into first heat. Actually a little late---it seems like most females have their first heat in their 5th month. I had a kitten go into heat at 16 weeks, and a breeder who used to post here had one who had her first heat at 14 weeks. So, yeah, I'm sure she is in heat. Keep her away from males until she's spayed!

Yes, it is unhealthy for a cat to have a litter so young. That's why we need to make sure they don't breed too young, and make sure they don't breed at all unless they're part of an ethical breeding program.

She definitely looks like she is in heat, that's why they recommend that spaying can be done as soon as they are 2 pounds in weight. She'll drive you crazy with her meowing and will come in to heat again right away if she doesn't get pregnant. I don't know whether to feel sorry for you or her!

Is it normal for her private part to be wet when in heat? Also i notice also changes in eating habiy. Now she eat less than usual.

When cats are in heat, they don't eat very much. Toms can go days without eating because all they care about is mating when they smell a cat in heat, and I imagine it's the same for females in heat. Does she stick her booty up in the air a lot? Is she rolling around and showing her belly? Is she being overly affectionate? Some female cats yowl while in heat, others don't. Unlike some others, I would advise you to wait until she's out of heat to get her spayed because spaying a cat while she's in heat is a more complicated and expensive surgery with more risks because there's more swelling and bleeding during the surgery.
