Tried feeding her how? Are you using a small dropper and putting just a few drops in her cheek at once?

She has to be warm enough before you can feed her though.  What are you doing to try to keep her warm? Have you tried smearing her gum with some glucose to perk her up?

So I really cannot stress to you enough that anything you want to try to do to save this kitten you have to do NOW. Please know i don't mean to sound abrupt but I have very limited time now- sorry I didn't respond sooner but I had to be away from the computer for a few hours.

1. Why are you not letting mom warm the kitten? Have you separated them? Has mom rejected the kitten? Best for warmth would be if mom will warm her up.  Second best would be carrying the kitten around with you.

2. Try glucose without delay. Caro sugar, honey work too.  Even plain sugar will work but it takes so long that I just don't recommend it in this instance.

3. When you feed her how are you doing it? Is she in the same position she'd be in if she were drinking from mom? Are you placing the drops of formula in her cheek, not just into her mouth or down her throat?

4. Is it an option for you to take her to the vet?

Bluntly, again, you have to begin taking major actions NOW to save the kitten.  If you do not she will surely die.

@catwoman707  @StefanZ  also know very very much about saving kittens and may have more time to respond to this now than I will for the rest of tonight... but please, keep us updated and tell us IN DETAIL what you are trying and doing, as we will be best able to help you then by trying to suggest  things you haven't already tried.

Okay thanks to @tulosai  who got my attention, what is going on and why is this fully developed baby not doing good?

Cold? Isn't she with momma?

Need lots of full detailed info in order to help.

Agree, actively warming up, and glucose for perking up. As Tulosai said so well in her great post, although being short of time.

Later on a dropper, its much easier for them.  Even  kittens with hole in the gum roof (who cant suckle) may manage sometimes if they get it by dropper.

IF she is separated from mom, a good warming up place is if you carry her at your chest.   Human body warmth is somewhat lower than cats, but you have her inside your clothes, so it is compensating.    And the living body warmth, the hearts beats will add much to his will to live.  You also get the burping for free as extra plus.

If your vet is good at handling weak kittens, and knows how to lay in a tube feeding - let him help you with it.   (many vets dont know much about weak kittens)

Otherwise, a so so vet the most he can do NOW is to see if there is some deformity, for example such a hole in the gum roof, AND also inject some fluids.

Which is useful.  Dehydration is another enemy.

The rest you must do yourself, whatever the vet is really good with weak kittens, or not.

What kmr are you using?    Some water or  homemade pedialyte in between the feedings is a good idea.  You dont want risk any dehydration either. It takes force of them too.

Good luck!     *vibes!*

Hi thanx for all the advise sorry I didn't reply sooner I was trying my best with the kitty. She is fully fformed but she's a lot smaller than the others and the only reason I took her away from mum was because she seemed to be ignoring her and the baby didn't seem to have any energy to even lift her head. I have kept her on my chest most of the night feeding her every second she would let me. Her streanth has defferantly picked up. And for the first time she is now with her brothers and sisters eating from mum with has made being up for 24 hours with her worth it.

Yeah, I shall second that!   Just so, be vigilant and step in immediately.   With big, feisty healthy kittens there IS some time to look and see. But with smallish, weak kittens you must help them very quickly and vigorously when you spot problems.   If so, they do have a fair chance to survive and later on live many good, happy years.

Good luck!

Oh yay!

A few more things:

1. You should be weighing her and the other kittens every day to make sure they are gaining weight.  You are shooting for 10 grams minimum (that is about 1/3 of an ounce) of weight gain daily.  If they are not hitting that, you need to supplement them.

2. It is GREAT that the little guy has perked up and is feeding from mom, but for the next 24-48 hours I would continue supplementing him even though he's back with mom just to make sure he contines on this good path.  Every 4 hours if you can, give him a bit of formula (as much as he will take) then put him back with mom. If all goes well, there will be no need to keep doing this long term, but for now I''d truly recommend it.

I am SO glad this kitty made it through the night.
