My little old Mamma Pooch crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday afternoon at 12:30 pm. Mamma had been suffering from gallstones for the past month which diet and medication could not help. Mamma left us just 28 days short of her 20th Birthday. She is sadly missed by her human Mom and Dad along with her fellow house mates Sally 8, Rachel and Matthew 5, Virgil 4, Ryan 2 and Sophie 7 months. Mamma came to leave with her new human Mom and Dad at the age of 16 1/2. She arrived with no teeth and unfixed. She carved out a nice little life for herself, living in luxury with plenty of food, water, toys, catnip and a giant sofa and bed to sleep on daily. We loved her so and will miss her. She has joined the other members of our feline family who have crossed this same bridge. We all look forward to the time when we will all be reunited again. Love your Mom

I'm sorry for your loss. She was a real beauty and looks so content in those photos - she obviously enjoyed her last couple of years when she was with you. RIP, Mamma Pooch. :rbheart:

Bless you for letting her know that she was very much loved and treasured in the last years of her life, she was a beautiful addition to your family. You were wonderful 'parents ' to give her such good care that she lived such a long life. She was beautiful inside and out and you gave her a beautiful tribute for us to get to know her, thank you. She leaves a huge hole in your hearts, but know she will never be forgotten by any of you. She will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge, where I believe ALL of our loved ones will be waiting, how can a love so strong ever be lost or gone forever? She will be alive forever in your hearts. Please accept my condolences for your loss. RIP beautiful Mama Pooch!

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. I am struggling with the loss as best I can. But unfortunately my other 6 felines, well actually 5 out of the 6 are struggling a bit more. The kitten at 7 months old just seems indifferent. Which is just fine. But all of the others are still looking for Mamma. My Virgil 4 years old is the worse, she slept with Mamma and ate every meal with Mamma, right next to her. He also used to time waiting to eat while I filled the dishes each morning licking Mamma's face. Virgil has now taken to sleeping right in Mamma's spot next to me on the bed. This past weekend I spent all day Saturday washing all of Mamma's blankets and beds to help them with their mourning. I even stripped my bed down to the mattress and washed all of my bedding that was also Mamma's bedding. Virgil stopped eating for a few days but still doing lots of crying and meowing around the house. Out of all 7 cats, even the kitten learned, no one ate until Mamma ate first. I found that amazing at every meal. So we will all get through it together. Thank you. Rose

It is always so heartbreaking to see those left behind mourning the loss of a loved one. I always cried when the last kitten left for it's new home and mama cried for days, searching for her babies. Somehow we all survive, but it's tough, and it takes a long time. Thank you for sharing your feelings, give all your babies a kiss for me and tell them you love them. Thanks!

Hello Friends,
It's almost 3 months since Mamma left and I still miss her so. Though my other 6 are trying to fill the void those special times we shared especially at night in bed are lonely. My Virgil and Sally seem to want to replace Mamma or just want her spot at the head of the bed next to me so I keep petting them until I fall asleep. I hope to be back on line again or at least soon. Thank you again for those wonderful nice words. Warm regards, Rose
