My mother has a cat, she is what you would call a "mutt". She is not a specific breed or anything. Well, she is very old, around 13 or 14 years old. She seems to be losing her fur. Every time you pet her she loses big clumps of fur. It is not your normal shedding. This is not normal for her. Does anyone know what could be wrong with her? Please help.

This could indicate a number of medical problems or even stress. You really should be getting her to a vet ASAP. She's quite old and things can get complicated at this age.
Please let us know what the vet said.
