Hello hello!

What is your favourite tea?

Green tea, Earl Grey, Earl Grey with vanilla, English Breakfast, mint tea and apple cinnamon for me.

It depends on my mood.  I love herbals (nothing overly flowery or strong.  I had a gingerbread one that gave me terrible headaches!), green tea, traditional.  Mint tea is always good.  My MIL makes awesome iced green tea.  She either squeezes a fresh lemon into it or uses a combo of green and mint tea bags.  So yummy and refreshing!

Not much of a tea person, but back home there's one (well, two) types of tea that I like: Teh O' Ais and teh o' ais limau (iced lime tea).

Teh = tea

o' = a representation for 'zero', meaning 'none', meaning 'no condensed milk'. Tea in Malaysia is usually mixed with sweetened condensed milk.

ais = ice

limau = lime

Here's the odd thing though: Sometimes I might want a non-iced lime tea. So I figured I should ask for teh o' panas limau (panas = hot/warm), right? Substitute "ice" with "hot", right? But no, they'll look at me funny, and I try to explain what I want, and they'll correct me and say "teh o' limau panas". Apparently they're not the same thing.

But but.. why is the ice version called teh o' ais limau??

No idea what all that means
 but lime tea sounds yummy.  I'm not a regular tea drinker but I like spiced herbal teas that have pepper, cardamom etc., like this type:  http://www.celestialseasonings.com/products/herbal-teas/bengal-spice

I prefer hot tea, even though I'm born and raised in the south (land of iced sweet tea).  I like most fruit flavored and green teas, but I also like Chai tea.

Nice black tea, not too strong, hot and served with milk thank you. Best for me if it's decaf'.
      I also like Rooibos with milk, and Chamomile with lime is good too, esp like work where I often don;t get to finish anything before it goes cold.

Spiced chai is nice when I'm somewhere hot but on a cool, gray UK day it isn't quite the same.

I actually just drink plain black decaffeinate tea.  With just spenda and a little coffee mate.

I have been alternating between English Breakfast and Lady Grey. I like the Lady Grey very sweet, so my favorite depends on what I am craving at the time. :)

As Captain Picard would say, "Tea. Earl Grey. Hot"

When our son was dating a Japanese girl, she used to bring down a Japanese breakfast tea (called Morning Tea). I can't read Japanese, so I have no idea what it said on the container, but it was truly wonderful stuff. It was a loose tea, so I needed a strainer (she gave me some gorgeous tea strainers, too). I kept the tea here at work and used a pretty tea cup to serve. That was pure indulgence for me. I do miss that tea. (I really miss her, too....she was a wonderful girl.)

We grow mint out back in the flowerbed and I love mint iced tea with our fresh mint.
 It tastes wonderful in the heat of the summer in a tall, icy glass.

I normally have coffee, but sometimes I have herbal fruit-flavored teas. :)

Mostly a coffee drinker, but occasionally chamomille (sp?) tea. For some reason I usually think of having tea when I'm not feeling well, or cold weather (not to frequent here in FL)

Don't drink tea!! :lol3: Unless it is iced Lipton tea with lemon. I did just recently buy some Tea K-cups to try at night before bedtime. Have not tried yet though. Thought I would give it whirl and see if it really does calm and relax. I am just not fond of the tea taste and if I add a bunch of sugar or honey then that will keep me up all night. :rolleyes:

I like plain old Lipton tea with some lemon juice and sugar as well as stevia. I've never been an herbal tea fan, but occasionally drink raspberry tea. Usually I add one raspberry teabag when making iced tea with the Lipton.
