Hello all--have been having some symptoms lately that have made me wonder if I could possibly be allergic to my kitty, her litter or maybe both? No upper respiratory symptoms, but most of my clothes that I wear are scratchy and rough and have had some itching, but no rash.  Thought maybe that it was a laundry issue, but switching to a laundry detergent for sensitive skin and using a vinegar rinse have not helped.  Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can give me.

It could be, but there are also so many other things it could be too. :) It's hard to say.

If it's where your clothes are, I would say it's still the detergent, the softener, or you switched bath soaps or lotions. It's unusual to 'suddenly' develop an allergy to a cat you have had for a while. I myself would keep looking at things you all use, like bath soap, etc. Good luck!

It could be the dyes or even the perfumes in your laundry soap, but given the time of year, I'd say it's most likely grass or tree pollen. I have respiratory issues with grass pollen and skin issues with tree pollen and it's not a fun time of year for me. I'm living on daily doses of Allegra.
