I have a three year old tuxedo female cat and she has been acting strange. I had moved on February 12th and ever since, she has been acting strange. She rarely leaves her room and she sits in the window seal all the time. If she's not there, she's on my bed. I had first thought it was something behavioral so I would cuddle with her on my bed and try to let her know that I care for her. She then started getting out more and would watch as my new kitten and my roommate kitten play. I thought she was all right but after a few days she went back to the same thing. She is now coughing a lot, hacking as well, and today I found a little bit of puke on the seal. I'm worried and thinking about taking her to see a vet but don't have enough money. What should I do?

are either of the other cats sick?

moving and having 2 strange cats around has probably stressed her out but the physical symptoms need a vets attention

good luck!

My kitten Weasley is the only one "sick". He was born with a runny nose and with seven months passing, he still has it. The vet gave him medicine and says that he'll grow out of it. I will try to get her a vet, thank you

Your kitten was born with a runny nose and the Vet said "he'll grow out of it"?  I think you should find a new Vet!  Exactly WHEN did the Vet give him medicine, and what is it?  (although that really has nothing to do with your 3 year old's issues)

As to your 3 year old, did you have the kitten before you  moved?  If he is now 7 months old, I'm thinking possibly?  So is the only thing new your new home, or is your roommate and their kitten also new?  All these things could indeed be causing lots of stress, and stress, particularly in cats, can cause lots of issues.    Is she still eating, peeing, pooping normally?  If so, those are good signs.  The coughing, hacking could be indicative of a hairball that is stuck, but it could also be something else, so it's definitely worth getting her checked out, particularly since it sounds like she is much more withdrawn than she used to be.

Since you mentioned you can't really afford a Vet right now, maybe this thread will be helpful:  http://www.thecatsite.com/t/155462/cant-afford-a-vet-please-read
