Suggestions for fattening up a cat?

My cat had been missing for a month and returned yesterday very very skinny . I've been giving him canned food egg yolks and high quality dry food . Does anyone have any other suggestions? He just had a full work up from vet before he went missing and is healthy other than being skinny.

Feed him what you'd normally feed him before he got lost. He'll gain weight at a healthy speed with regular feedings. I know he's probably got those pweeeze feed me eyes but try not to overfeed him or he'll get overweight fast. He should be back to his normal weight in a couple weeks

It might be a good idea to get him tested for worms. If he's been fending for himself he might have picked up a few. You can take a stool sample to the vet and they'll be able to give you some drops to put on the back of his neck. Make sure you Google the brand name of the product before you use it though. Some of the cheaper worm treatments can cause allergic reactions.
