My just about year old cat is discharging (reddish whitish) from vagina quite a bit, but the local vet wont be available till Monday, will she be alright? Been happening since about Friday but we chalked it up to menses till I researched it further a bit ago.  Will she be okay till then?

Her name is Ginger Belle, I just need an honest answer so I can sleep, and know/understand the risks of the situation. If you can do nothing else, please pray for her.  She is a very loving and sweet and energetic cat. Also half the size of the male cat in the house and she can whip his butt in play lol.

Oh, dear, sounds like it could be pyometra. Is there any possible way you can get her to an emergency vet? They are expensive but I think it may be necessary for her :(.

Now, an "open" pyo (meaning she's draining the infection) is not quite as immediately fatal as a "closed" pyo but I would still recommend getting her to an emergency vet if at all possible.

She isn't spayed unfortunately, haven't had the money and there are not ant free or discounted services available here locally.  Was/am actually planning it for this coming week. I tried our vets emergency number and he is out of town till Monday. Just really worried, her and Jazz (our male) are the reasons I like cats lol. I didn't want cats till I met them.

It is most likely Pyometra.  An infection of the uterus.  She needs to see the vet and get spayed asap.  They will prescribe Anitbiotics and it should clear up.  As mentioned it appears to be open Pyometra which isn't as dangerous but very serious.  Please take her asap!

Vet. NOW!  It sounds very much like pyometra which is usually fatal if not treated quickly.  Keep calling vets and get her somewhere immediately.
