Hi Guys,

I am in the long beach area and I have a cat that had six adorable orange and grey kittens. They are just about  weaned and I need to find them good forever homes. They are very sweet, playful, and well behaved. They sleep with us all the time. I wish I could keep them myself but I don't have the room. Send me a PM if you are interested.  I will get some photos posted asap.

Thank you

Brierachele

If you are on Facebook, go to RescueMe.org and you can post free ads there.  You can also post free ads on eBayclassifieds.com.

Welcome. First of all, this is an international forum.  Unfortunately it is very unlikely that you will be able to find anyone here to take your cats.

That said, good places to start trying to place cats are vets offices and craigslist. Always charge a small fee to weed out people who might be looking to use the kittens for bad purposes or who are not serious about owning a cat. Before placing the kittens be sure to speak to the people who want to adopt them.  You need not print out a formal questionnaire or conduct a formal interview if you are uncomfortable with it (though some people do) but you should have a decent length talk with hem and at a minimum cover the topics of

-why they want a kitten/kittens

-if they have had cats or other pets before. if not, why not (should not be asked in an accusatory way- plenty of good reasons why not). if so, if they still have those pets and if not what happened to them. if they do still have the pets, how they plan to introduce them to the new kitten. who their vet is or was.

-who is in their household other than them. (kids? significant others?)

-views on declawing

-what would cause them to give up the kitten

Not sure of the circumstances and the reason your cat became pregnant in the first place, but please, please get her spayed. I have more to say but again, don't know the background of this momma cat.

Please do not give the kittens away for free. There are many cruel people looking to do bad things to free kittens AND you cannot be sure that the new home will neuter the kittens thereby, adding more kittens/cats down the road. It is a cycle that will never end if people don't get their cats fixed.

Honestly, the safest thing to do is to see if a local shelter, foster network, or humane society can take them from you - the whole litter. Most times kittens get adopted extremely quickly. ALSO - that way you know the kittens will go to homes that have signed an agreement/contract and that the kittens will be spayed/neutered before they go home. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:
